Thank you I give light to my ancestors. My ancestors were rice planters and every time I cook rice I do a ritual by calling all of them all by their names. I can go back into the early 1800. I love and blessed them all. I know I am living the best life because of their sacrifices. I feel their love for me all the time. God thank you for sending me to them and them to me. I just want to say, if your family is a loving one, you are blessed. but, some of these sentences hurt, actually, when your family isn't a loving one, and when one of your ancestors (maybe more than one) used you as a tool for his/her safety or wealth, and tried to destroy you when you were not useful anymore. I know this will heal with time, but sending thanks in return is a little too much to ask.

It is important to honor our time. Forcing or rushing through grief and our emotional process can be a form of violence against ourselves. Some events require more time than others. I also am not always ready to sit with everything right away. Need for pause is important. Be kind to yourself! Thank you for sharing.
