A powerful drummer is key, the foundation. I've played with drummers that don't have a strong rhythm and trying to solo is a nightmare. But when they're really good- look out, the notes just fly out seemingly on their own. Buckethead plus Brain = 🌩 ⚡️ ⛈️ ☀️ 🔆 🎉 🕉 🥁 🎸 heaven.

I've seen Bucket many times over the years - not only does he sound better with a live band but he regularly gets energized further by the musical symbiote thing going on, further propelling the sound - just like you see here. It's still amazing without but noticeable if you've experienced the former 👍🏻
My god, the part that starts 37:11 and goes on, wtf! Best guitar playing ever heard!! He's a master

Interaction is powerful for sure, and instruments. However, I saw him at the Great American Music Hall for a New Years Eve show by himself- Totally captivating. I almost didn't know one way or the other. His guitar was three dimensional, completely filled the room. Not a slack moment. One to remember. Just like the Totally enthusiastic Chinese family with a sweet daughter next to me in the balcony. It was hysterical how into Bucket they were. Music fans everywhere (!)
Praxis is so tasty!!!🔥🔥🔥
Wow! First, Interworld & New Innocence has changed here & there, but even back then with an undersized strat Buckethead sonically assualted the universe with his dips & dives and vibrato! Not to mention Brain churning a maelstrom of fantastically epic skin beatings! Wow, almost 20 years ago and this song is timeless!
Watched it again.. for the fifth time... I am grateful to whoever recorded this and posted it. Thank you... I've commented earlier... as I was at this show, standing in front of Laswell. This is a stunningly enjoyable watch!!

Man or robot? Machine or sentient being? No one knows for sure. He's simply called Buckethead (for the Kentucky Fried Chicken bucket 🪣 on his "head"). Which raises another conundrum: is he really into the secret recipe; or is it a mockery of meat consumption, in favor of vegetarianism- or even Veganism! But I digress; whatever he is, he is godlike at the manipulation of electric guitar 🎸 strings. Someone has programed him for perfection and insanity. Buckethead- guitar Bill Laswell- bass Brain- drums DJ Disk- records, effects Praxis is back
