In an interview lasting around 55 minutes, Karan repeatedly asked the same question, directly or indirectly, to get an answer that matched his analysis. I believe PK already provided the answer in the first half of the interview. There could have been a better set of questions addressing the issues of increasing and declining seats for the established party and the opposition party. The answer PK gave in the last few minutes was really good. He suggested that the opposition (people's collective effort )could become the new establishment for a better livelihood, development, and to promote a proud cultural identity as a collective vision for society. Alternatively, they might separate in terms of caste. Ultimately, what people demand for the long term is what the establishment has to address.

@@Baldie731 oh son, only if you would’ve read about different types of politics. No worries, I’ll explain with terminology and definition. What congress had been doing for last 50-60 years to win elections was “Identity Politics”. In simpler words, you scare the minority(in this case Muslims) that the majority is going to eradicate you and I’m your only messiah, whereas you divide the majority(in this case Hindus) into castes and then pick a certain sect of the population and appeal to them. Thats how you make up 30-40% vote share of any constituency which is enough to win elections without doing any good governance/work/development. And the congress made their allies learn this technique too like laalu yadav and akhilesh yadav targeting (Muslims+ Yadavs), similarly in south they target (Muslims+ Christians+ lower caste of hindus) etc.

Thought Karan thapar drinks water and hence PK thought it was water. New info from you that KP drinks urine. KP could not provide video and hence drinks urine. He got slipper shots from Madam Jaya. KP can't even open his mouth and speaks clearly. Maybe many f....d in his mouth. Ps: When someone sitting opposite is arrogant egoistic, normally people get angry and hit him. But this fellow keeps the camera to safeguard him (with butler dress). Hence people drink water and nullify the anguish. But for that one has to have self respect & discipline. Karan raises his voice and tells PK don’t raise your voice. Karan says “walk out” and 1 min later denies saying it. Unfortunately, this semi bullying tactic of putting his own interpretation/words into the interviewees mouth doesn’t work anymore. In a school debate perhaps it earns brownie points but for any meaningful discussion it falls flat.

Wonderful Prashant Kishore. He is very clear and logical in his analysis. He means to say that anyway BJP is winining elections with clear majority. But Karan is trying to make him say otherwise and he fails in that. PK always maintains that BJP is wining this elections under all circumstances.

Yes that was off-putting ngl. But again, I don't mind it. No one's here to judge PK's character or know how he is as a person. He was here to give a prediction, he did and explained his reasoning behind the prediction. Now, if he didn't say what The Wire's audience expected of him and they want to make a rather big deal of PK's lack of composure, that's a different route altogether.

Proud of you @prasant_kishore, you gave a befitting reply to this man who doesn't know to be respectful while interviewing his guest and yes he try to interpret things it is very much evident.
