I thought you watched Baseyo and those of Kpone where Abonsu, Oku, Gao, etc are all male deities yet still, they had their breasts covered?

The main reason is that, among the Me deities, males and females cover their breasts unless their origin is not from the Dangme soils. Aden is a typical example... Because he's originally not a Dangme deity, does not cover the breast. At Kpone, all the deities cover their breasts except Tsawe and Oku Beletse. At Teshie, only Osama doesn't his breast. Every other male deities cover their breast. Now, for the Kpele deities, females cover their breasts but males don't. Note that Kpele has its customs just as Me. Even in Kpele, elder male deities cover their breasts whiles the younger ones don't... So, Tele of Nungua covers his breast etc... Nuumo Gborbu is culturally mandated to cover his breast since he's an elder deity but sometimes, he covers and sometimes he doesn't
