A local team of design and construction professionals restores a native habitat along Prairie Creek just outside of Orick, CA. What was a working landscape and old mill site, blanketed with non-native and invasive plants is restored to a lush creek-side and wetland designed by McBain Associates and installed in partnership with the Yurok Tribe.
The project is led by Save the Redwoods League and CalTrout in partnership with the Yurok Tribe and Redwood National and State Parks and with a team of local professionals and funding from: California State Agencies - the Coastal Conservancy, Wildlife Conservation Board, and Ocean Protection Council and Federal Funding Agencies - NOAA and USFWS and donors like you.
