Prague walk | Exploring the Main Attractions in the Old Town
We start this walk from the Astronomical Clock in the Old Town Square. We definitely recommend everyone to take a good look at this intricate, mechanical masterpiece, that is over 600 years old. There is an hourly show (from 9AM to 11PM) and, although it lasts for roughly one minute, you can always come back a second time to discover other details.
Among the other landmarks one can find in the Old Town Square, are the Church of Our Lady before Tyn, the Monument dedicated to Jan Hus and the St. Nicholas Church.
We would suggest having a read about Jan Hus. Although he might not be as famous as other church reformers, he is an important part of Czech history and his story is quite impressive.
There are all sorts of bars and restaurants spread across the city center. One tip we've got is to always keep an eye out for the ones that many locals attend, since they tend to be more authentic and affordable. Don't forget to try the Czech beer and other local specialties!
