That’s crazy cause I did my first gig last year at 13 to for 20 bucks and I wanna play like him so and he’s my idol 😂
I met James at a junior brass band tournament when I was kid. I was 1st solo cornet. We won that year. He's legendary!

Nah you can compare me to him!!! Compared to him I'm a bag of crap.
I love james' pure, big, phat tone. There's no sound like that unless you're united with the trumpet.
Forgot all about Basin Street Blues. Bloody incredible
Damn, I'd never expect to hear Basin Street Blues like that but I'm glad I did.
I'm a piano player, but am amazed by how lyrical he is in his playing.

One as a pianist would appreciate it if a key could be sustained and dynamized as is done with a note on the trumpet. But we have tremolos, by the way! haha.
Simply out of this world always plays with a big smile incredible ;)
As a former trumpet player, not only his talent but his ability to play/‘scream’ SUCH HIGH NOTES has ALWAYS blown me away (no pun intended!) 🙌🎺❤️

Phenomenal.
Exceptional on the tongue trills is James. Not an easy feat on trumpet. So light and flexible. Awesome changes in trumpet intonation creating a different sound on the same horn.
