Lo fantástico de esta ciudad es que en más de 1000 años se ha conservado intacta, a diferencia de la mayoría de las grandes capitales de Europa que han sido destruidas por las guerras y reconstruidas total o parcialmente. En Praga todo es original, desde su Castillo hasta sus monumentos, puentes y arquitectura en general. Eso la convierte en una verdadera maravilla y en una fiesta para los ojos.

Seeing this video you get the idea right away of how much freedom there is for the women and the people in general. In the past under Soviet rule you mostly saw the dark, and gloom of the tyrannical government, now it looks so different. Good to see the sun shinning brightly on this city of Czech.

I don't know what damage the communists have done. But what I do know is that the communists built schools, kindergartens, hospitals, sports facilities, etc.After the revolution, nothing was built at all and what was left was sold off.We were a self-sufficient state that was able to produce everything from heavy industry to crystal.Today we are just cheap labor for foreign companies.

This video was filmed with iPhone 12 :) not a big deal camera !

Pause this clip at 18:31. Take notice of the white building on the left side of the image. Note the balcony on the second floor. There's a table and chair on the corner of that balcony directly above the word "Market." I ate my breakfast at that table every morning at 7am in August of 2023. My room was huge. Comfortable bed. Great hot water shower. Directly across the street is the passage way to a world famous library that must be one of the most beautiful in the world. From there I was a five minute walk in one direction to the famous Astronomic Clock. In the other direction, I could walk 5 minutes to the Charles Bridge. At the bridge entrance I caught a street car (it passes in the video) connected to lines all across the city. Because I'm a senior, the streetcars - and all public transit in Prague - are free. Just get on and ride. I highly recommend the Prague Opera. Gorgeous theater and excellent productions.

It depends... generally Brno is cheaper than Prague. But you can also find some restaurants with acceptable prices in Prague, e.g. Lokál Dlouhá.
