Hi Kari, how are you? I was in Prague two months ago and unfortunately the astronomical clock was under maintenance, I'm editing the images for my travel blog and would love to show this clock. I wonder if I can use your images to put in my video, of course I'll credit it to you. Thank you.

still don't know how the clock fully works. all I know the people inside are spun with 2 sets of wheels of people with a knob and spring with a stationary knob so that the people realistically turn around as they move and turn back when they pass the window. I never seen the escapement, how the rooster works and the machanics of the chime and clocks.

Really? It also displays a movement of the Sun, movement of Moon, actual season & Date & Zodiac, Solstice, Equinox, a daylight (calculated for this very latitude ). All made by hand by a blacksmiths 100y before Columbus. But wait Trailer Trash Pablo will reveal us the truth!

Yes, in 1410, Bohemia was a Christian country and used a Christian calendar. 107 years before Luthers theses, i.e. to distinguish "Catholical" as an opposite to other Christian denominations is a bit anachronical (Jan Hus was a catholic priest at that times). As regards "Vatican", in the times there were 3 papas: two in Rome, one in Avignon. I doubt you have a notion who of the three was supported by the then Prague council, Prague bishop or Bohemian king. If you want some clock in style of atheist socialist realism, you can see the strange monstrosity at the Olomouc town hall.
