The Praga R1 is currently competed by race teams all around the world and regularly appears at some of the most iconic circuits; from Silverstone Circuit in the UK, to other European circuits including Spa-Francorchamps and Zolder, to Bathurst in Australia, Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi, and Sebring in the US.
From 25 mins sprint races to a 25 hour endurance race, the R1 has a long history of race-winning performance and is enjoyed by both amateur drivers stepping up from karts and professional racing drivers looking to reach new goals.
Now in its 5th Generation, the R1 is a single-seater race car powered by a 2-litre turbocharged engine built by the specialist racing division at Alpine Renault producing 365bhp with bespoke engineered parts by Praga. The R1’s lightweight design weighing just 643kg / 1418lbs combined with its advanced aerodynamic package enables drivers to experience up to 3G of lateral force in corners, all within the safety of a proven, full carbon fibre monocoque from a brand with over 115 years of automotive manufacturing and engineering heritage.
