I never thought I’d enjoy watching someone draw a cat skeleton 😂
I was drowning in self-pity until this video saved me lol Thnx Jel
I am so glad that you are saying this about feeling uncomfortable about drawing people in public. A lot of artists or teachers tell you to do this and I am always like "Is nobody afraid of this? Because I kind of am..." It's good to hear I am not the only one feeling this way. :D Although I hope I can overcome this fear one day.

I actually like drawing people in public, they get so happy when they see the art haha, I've even drawn my waitress and given it to her along with a tip xD

Yes! I love seeing architecture drawn for some reason, if done right of course lol
Cats are weirdly difficult to draw, whenever I try to draw mine it just turns out as a blob with head an limbs awkwardly attached. A lot of yours turned out well tho, the face on the last one especially seemed to have depth even without shading. And buildings sounds like a great idea. They always seem so overwhelming in the beginning, but are a lot of fun once you commit to the sketch :)
These series are a total success! I have to grab my pencil and draw a pair of fluffy goats!
Maybe you could try to draw people with different kinds of glasses. Idk why, it was just the first thing that came to mind. (Amazing vids. btw
Ask to draw friends or use/take photos of friends, I practice with photos they don’t realize I’ve taken until I tell them about it so they look natural and there is no accidental forcing of poses, though do ask permission to take photos of friends, my friends r cool with it and they enjoy seeing the drawings I’ve made with the photos but not everyone would be cool with it

watching your sketchbook sessions get me so inspired to study things in my sketchbook
What if you tried drawing different kinds of clothing? I have recently been doing this and it really helps with observational skills. It can be really cool to draw things from different eras and see the differences in clothing.
I used to be so bad with colour palettes and adding to many that didn’t work or not mixing enough so looked cohesive and honestly using a four colour palette for portraits has changed my life, instant improvement in how my watercolour looks!
I would love to see u drawing anatomy cause I really struggle with it and I love this video. You're one of my favourite channels.
2:37 whatever is going on; that cat right there had enough of it
It's easier said than done, but I promise you, the more your draw people in life, the easier it gets. I always draw people when I'm sitting at the airport terminals (I travel a lot for my full-time) because people are quick with their movements so they're about 30 second sketches or they're sleeping/looking at their phones and not paying attention to you. It will get easier!
Man I have several sketchbooks that have been barren for so long. Videos like this really motivate me to start filling them up!
ahhh girl thank you so much for posting another sketchbook session! they are sooo soothing to watch :) and every time i feel like giving up on art (i am a beginner and the struggle is real) i watch these types of videos and it really helps to motivate me! i love your work !!
this summer at the beach I saw a one footed seagull. It's now the inspiration of one of my favorite sketchbook pages.
I love your sketchbook sessions
Hey Jel! Thanks for posting these motivative animal drawings! :D I really love it!
I always love seeing people draw perspective, so watching you practice that would be really fun!
I just got my long-haired cat shaved for summer and it's been a revelation to see how her legs are built to wrap around the bulk of her belly and her chest. She's bow legged in front. The amount of skin that is loose like a blanket is amazing. I have been watching her and feeling her to see where the shoulder and hip joints are and how her legs fold. Drawing a skeleton is a great idea.
not first, but im here.

I think things like octopus and cuttlefish are really good to practice. It helps you practice fluid art!
5:07 that cat facemap is fantastic. Imma use that lmao
I used to go to the zoo all the time to draw, the Clouded leopards were my favorite, could sit there and watch them for hours. it was also fun to go into this bird cage where you can feed the birds and have them land on you, I'd sit there and draw them too as they landed on me and watched my pen XD
Ahhh so early!!!❤️✨by the way I’m really loving this series!

Would love to see a sketch video on owls! If you do the skeleton for them it will be funny too, haha. It is a cool idea to draw the skeleton first, I might try that in the future actually.
Some castles and lighthouses would be great! Loved the cats you drew!
Enjoyed this. You should draw a pirate ship next. :D

can you design rooms?? that would be cool to see.. what i mean is like pick a theme and make a room out of it.... love your vid btw!!
Why is this so satisfying....
OOOOOOO! SOOOO Pretty!! Love the doodles
I know that I'm really late but I agree with Wolfie Sparks, I would love to see you draw some dragons next, they are very fun and are my personal favorite thing!
I love your art style so much!
Hairless cats are kinda gross, but good for anatomy :). Do dragons or lizards next please!

I wouldn't agree that hairless cats are gross, it's just the way they are and I think they're cute. But that's your opinion.
wow that yellow marker is bright!! Loved these little sketches, they're so cute^^ The one laying down reminded me of my own cat!
Fluffy and aerodynamic!, but still you could look at a hairless cat
I'd like to go to zoo or aquarium. I've been doing too many plants in parks and want to do live creatures, too. Good idea to use the skeleton- i'll try that next!
I love these sketchbook videos so much
I love your sketchbook sessions!
I’d like to see another video showcasing how you can draw cats in the future. I think that’d be neato
You can try drawing seals!!! They're the exact opposite of geometric/angular though, lol. But that makes them surprisingly hard to draw, but it's very good practice because of that!
Love this video! I'm having trouble with cat anatomy so just watching somebody draw them is nice!
I own the koi brush pens, i really like them and they're great for sketchbooks!
You can go to a nature reserve to draw or a trail
If you want to, you can draw a horse.
I LOVE YOUR ART AND I LOVE CATS. THIS IS AMAZING
I love cats *-* And yeah..I struggle with anatomie in general. :'D Thanks for sharing the video. It gives me hope to see, that not all your sketches are instant great, but not so clean or just not perfect too.
Love your sketching sessions....can't wait for your sketchbook tour....hey can you also do a "draw my life " video...would love to know more about your journey
I love your art style very inspirational💛
Beautiful sketches!
I was drawing a cow today. I think they are really cute animals ^-^ but i really had a problem with the head xD u could try to draw cows ^-^ i really love this brown cows x)
I got the inspiration from your previous video to practice my watercolor mixing abilities using a randomly generated color palette. Like a Color Matching Challenge! It's my current struggle, particularly getting darker variation of the colors. Layering doesn't always reach the level of darkness I want T^T For a simple broad subject I'd enjoy watching you practice clothing and/or accessories. From plain casual looks to more extremes. Or for a specific subject I'd challenge you to draw the way people carry their pets. Cropped in to focus on the pet area and not the whole person. To practice the anatomy and difference between how kids carry a pet compared to adults or how a bunny is carried compared to a snake and other pets. Will be a mix of animals in interesting poses! These sketchbook sketching sessions are very enjoyable and educational, please keep them up regardless of the topic + w +
this is the cutest thing
You are amazing!!! Can you do a q and a? Or like your old sketch books?
thanks for uploading this!
You earned a new subscriber it’s amazing btw
Beautiful
Armadillo’s would be so cool to see you draw !
who agrees that you can do your best work when your not trying :]
Once you master small cats, you can move on to the larger cats. Lol I can totally see you drawing some majestic lions. 🦁The one animal Im currently working on is a wolf. 🐺
Honestly my favorite one is the one with really dopey expression that you outlined in yellow in the end :D
I hear you about not wanting people to catch you drawing them. I have a lot of pictures in my sketchbook of people's backs as they stand at the bar of my local pub. Not so many sketches of their fronts, though.
“Not that good at drawing cats.” *bursts through wall* are you sure about that? XD in all seriousness though I’ve been in an art block and this vid helped a lot. :33
I love your art! You inspire me to push myself to try new things. Please, if you can, draw some wolves 😊
Wow such a great video .keep up the great work 😊
PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO OF HOW YOU DISCOVER YOUR BEAUTIFUL TALENT!!! I LOVE YOUUUUUURRR VIDS SO MUCHHH!!😍😘
ellos! I'm a new subscriber ^^ I searched for dog sketches and came across your dog sketchbook session video. I'm happy I found your channel. I'm instantly impressed by your art and quality of your videos. These are one of my favorite types of things to watch and it motivates me to draw along.

Aw thanks so much! That's so nice of you to say :)
Please, please, please do buildings for the next sketchbook session! Love your vids as always :)
You should draw hippos! A wonderful video by the way! :)
I tried people watching at a coffee shop near me work, I was nervous when I did it too lol I would quick glance at people so they wouldnt notice or look just above or beside them so they didn't notice.
I’m good at cats, I was in a massive Warriors phase when I first started getting into drawing.
You should draw an animal that starts with each letter of the alphabet
@Nigarj

Silly Sue I love this idea, I'm gonna try it myself. ^^
yay!!!!
If you look up sanctuaries near you, those are usually saved animals! :)
when i was in college i found drawing ppl on campus really easy because in the really busy areas no one is really paying attention to other people. I would sit in the main out door area where lots of ppl are walking or sitting and most would be far enough away that they wouldnt notice. or I would sketch the people sitting in front of me in class lol.
whenever i draw cats their faces always look a little bit too human and like they have no dimension haha so im working on that right now, this video is perfect!

Oh man I had that problem too for a long time, still do sometimes!
Ohhh, u should try and draw bunnys, like action poses of them running and stuff. I've got a bunny and it's what made me think of it😅
A great animal to draw/can be difficult to master is horses. Might consider them. :)
Id like to see your sketches and studies in drawing parrots; or birds in general
This is purrrrfect lolol
I wish i could draw animals that good. Luckily, I'll start my first sketchbook soon, means I will excercise as much as I can.
For drawing people in public from life take a small sketch book to sketch in. Another way is if you have a friend that also sketches could take them then it's a bit of support in some way....i hope this helps
Hi I love your art 💜💜
Wow!! :)
Draw Canadian marble foxes! They look so pretty

I like the idea for your next vid :D
I'd love to see you draw giraffes!! They're my fave ☺️
I wonder if all our past lives had the same interests or different ones. Because in this life, I love art so much and last week I finished my tape mural at school. And I think about how my past lives would have felt about art, y'know?
Can you draw dragons and/or Wyverns? That would be great!
Could you draw wolves in a future vid please? I really struggle drawing them so I think I will try your method of drawing the skeleton first to get a general idea :)
Same me too with cats and dogs. I’m fine with dogs but cats tho are like harder!
I must thank you.. My sketches (if you can call them that) are not even quite as good as yours, but you gave me the motivation to get off my ass (pardon) and just.. Well, draw.. To do something of myself.. Thank you SOOO MUCH😊!
I don't know if you already draw people from reallive now but if not, I can say to you it is Not that big of a deal! Most people won't recognize. And if they do most of them were really interested and think its good to train like this. Ido that a lot and did it since I was on an really early state of learning and everyone was really friendly. Also on an inking course the teacher told that when she studied art in china, she would ask people at a translation (in china are a lot of people everywhere I guess XD) even as a beginner and a lot later earned money with it because they wanted to keep her drawings. If you're not sure now, remember : Just do it! People don't know you anyway! ;)
