I also discovered them through Yibo (Untamed) and fell in love with the whole group. I was (still am) devastated by Uniq’s circumstances. Knowing they probably won’t have another OT5 comeback kills me and makes me so sad. Uniq is one of the rare talented, all rounded groups. It’s really a waste if they just end like that. I also regret not knowing them when they were active. Would have stanned the shit out of them. But perhaps be even more heartbroken then when they went into hiatus.

For those who are curious: -UNIQ is under Yuehua Entertainment -the korean members, Seungyoon and Sungjoo are a trainee in YG before being under Yuehua -this is a joint training of YG and Yeuhua, that is why UNIQ is in YG's practice room -2013- YG had a survival show called WIN the participants were: -Team A (WINNER today) -Team B (iKON today) -Team C (UNIQ) -but Team C was removed because Yuehua Ent. will be debuting UNIQ first or give them training under Yuehua only. -and yes, Winner is still the first one to debut in the three teams

unmotivated fan I mean-depends in what you call success. Thing is, uniq is doing better individually then they ever did as a group. the success some of the members are having in China and seungyoun individually in Korea will earn them far more money than they ever could in a kpop group. now they’re all going solo with their fair share of individual endorsements, acting projects, variety shows etc so they don’t have to split profits like normal kpop groups. but yes if they were big internationally and in kr like winkon it would certainly be a different uniq. But then they might not have the ability to pursue their own projects and become so individually successful.

this group was not yg's. Its like a collab with yuehua ent. They sent their trainees to korea for more specialized training. They lived at the yg dorms at one point and attended school in seoul but they were never going to debut under YG.

@@Bella-po8vh Agreed. K-pop Boy groups have their own problems from lack of individuality allowed to the Aegyo culture. Also, financial issues and insane work schedules. I think they all faired better pursuing their solo careers. Maybe, Uniq could have been the next big thing. But I think it is better that all of them got to go on their solo careers in the early phase itself. In general, idol even if they feels stuck later on, they don't get the confidence to disband and completely go solo when their groups have gotten successful.

I was 7 years late!! I've known Yibo from The Untamed, discovered that he likes skating and a pro racer. And the most surprising discovery i made was when i watch SDC3 and discovered him possessing a great talent in dancing! Now i'm here and i can say that this group has a great caliber in dancing and singing.

Underated from where?they are success on China bc of they debut on there,not in South Korea. But they have several debut in SK too,you can see Wang yibo fancam about 1 million in SBS Korea channel.

They were trained in YG! See that studio? Its YG's famous dance studio. That is why the dancing styles were familiar *see seungyoon team b dance practice. I remember UNIQ! I heard of a boy grp that was affiliated with YG, but never followed up, partly because they debuted under YHent instead. I'm glad each member is still successfully doing great as a solo act, in their perspective fields. They're still a group and I'm sure they'll come back together so time in the future.
