    Hi Chris! Now that you mention it, you can find the same A shape, as you say, not only in Pinan Yondan but also in Kushanku/Kosokun/Kanku, different names for the same kata, according to the style you practice. With the same function.

    Great info. The first application is the same as in Krav Maga disarming a long stick. Similar in Aikido.
