പുതിയ നിയമത്തിൽ എല്ലാ വിശ്വാസിയും രാജകീയ പുരോഹിതവർഗം ആണ് 1peter 2:9 പുരോഹിത ശുശ്രുഷ എന്നൊരു ശുശ്രൂഷ കൃപവരങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരിടത്തും പറഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ല. ഇനി ഒരു പാപപരിഹാരയാഗവും ആവശ്യമില്ലാത്തതിനാൽ ആണ് ആ ശുശ്രൂഷ ഇല്ലാത്തത്. യേശു അതെല്ലാം നിവർത്തിയാക്കി. ആ പരമയാഗത്തിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ചു സ്വന്തമാക്കുക. കൃപയാലല്ലോ വിശ്വാസത്താൽ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്. അത് നിങ്ങൾ കാരണമല്ല, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ദാനം അത്രെ ആകുന്നു. അത് പ്രവൃത്തികളാൽ ലഭിച്ചതുമില്ല. In the early church since most of them were converts from Judaism their usual dress must have been same and it was similar to that of the priest's dress today. But in the church there were apponted deacons and presbyters 1 Timothy 3.8:12
