I literally could cry…. I have been in and out of the doctors to try to figure this out. Neurologists, PCP appointments, balance study tests, etc….. and they want to put me on meds for dizziness. This was a great video. Didn't realize there is a population with exact symptoms I have. This was really helpful. After a stroke, I developed this and have developed a hyper sensitivity to senses so my solution has been to withdrawal but I see now not aggod strategy.

I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS! I have been going doctor to doctor for two years trying to find a diagnosis. It’s BEYOND me why they wouldn’t mention this. I say over and over, it’s not DIZZY, I feel like I am swaying and I feel it in my legs and worse when sitting. This was triggered by a virus! I have had migraines and strange neuro symptoms as well. The accumulation of all the symptoms is what is disabling. I was suicidal. This gives me hope! Thank you!!!!!

Its really hard when people keep trying to change the words you say (particularly drs)....I describe mine as 4 beers drunk....Dont give up,I was ready to end it 3yrs ago,but after a lot of utube excercises I am much better (just try them,if they work,do it else drop it)...

I had this in 2018. I was normal and healthy beforehand. Hang in there. I have residual symptoms now but have improved about 80 percent

@@kingbyouchoob2488 it hasn't fully resolved but has gotten a lot better. I think it's a matter of getting acclimated to the symptoms is my understanding.

Wow so much valuable information & wonderfully explained! I’m still shock that the brain creates sound bc I have that happen as much as I wish it didn’t happen it’s fascinating what the body does. Please bring the doctor back in the future for vestibular migraine talk. Thank you for everything you do to provide all this information.

Don’t have the grocery store aspect but I do haul in them. Mine started after a bacterial infection. 4?courses of vancomycin. 2 Nuero’s and 6 cardio’s. One group of cardio, lee memorial kicked me out since begging for help. My pcp yesterday did not know anything about this. For 5 years feel like on a sailboat. Have tach and Pots. Yes I saw other videos a free days ago and cried my eyes out.

I have all pppd symptoms. I have not been diagnosed yet .I have a ent appointment in September and I'm hoping he knows about this . I have mentioned this to my chiropractor and he has never heard of this .it's funny how sometimes you know more than the doctors lol.

I can totally relate, my eye doctor gave me a funny look when I suggested that it might be vertical heterophoria.

I felt so alien all of these years (lots of them, basically almost my whole life) having Pppd with most of the symptoms described, including dissociation which is very unpleasant. And going from doctor to doctor just to tell me there's nothing wrong with my vestibular system or neurologically. Basically "it's all in your head was the answer" or "you have anxiety". I went on a 5 years treatment with antidepressants which diminished the Pppd, but gave me side effects I wasn't going to accept to tolerate my whole life. So I gave up antidepressants and symptoms came back. Not as debilitating as before, due to the terapy I made and practices I've learned over the years, but I can still notice a connection between dizziness attacks and visual overstimulation or crowds. So I am currently searching for instruments to help me relieve these symptoms. Thank you for this video, it made me feel seen and not so alien after all. ❤️

Yes, gaslighting has been my experience too..the neuro I was referred to for treatment for VM denies I have VM, insists it's anxiety. He is clueless when it comes to VM.

I have vestibular migraine and also pppd. Do you have any idea why i have extreme pressure in my head and almost like numbing zaps when i talk? was recently diagnosed. I just bought your book and I'm starting my healing journey. Took 5 months to get diagnosed . Lots if doctors and tests. Been dizzy and headaches for months. Still learning. Thankyou for sharing your info to all of us that need educated on this horrible condition.

It's not uncommon at all from many people I talk to! Generally seems to be a VM thing, not PPPD. I hope you get some relief with the information on the book and website. It does take some time but those eventually go away!

This video was helpful. Was diagnosed with 3PD and migraines at the Mayo Clinic this past week. I have had both for probably 15 years. Was recommended CBT, vestibular PT, and migraine medicine. I was kinda embarrassed to get the 3PD bc it seemed to be a catch all for “you are dizzy and we don’t know why so here’s where we will stick you”….but I think I’m beginning to understand that the main thing about 3PD is that it is a brain issue and not an ear or eye issue. 3PD does actually rule out some other reasons for dizziness. I do not have eye dizziness, or ear dizziness, I have a brain dizziness. Is that a correct way to understand it?

Can i ask you which Mayo Clinic did you go to? I just got off the phone with Mayo Clinic in Phoenix and they said the headache department and ent department were not taking new patients. They were really unhelpful.

So if u have severe Tinnitus and PPPD happen within a certain period of time of each other they’re most likely related correct?

I wore glasses for 62 years...after cataract surgery I no longer needed glasses...for those 62 years the first thing I did in the morning and the last thing I did in the evening was reach for my glasses, putting them on/taking them off...I continued to do this in spite of no longer wearing them. I knew the hardened neural pathways in the brain could be remapped based on what I'd read. BUT...I wasn't sure I believed it...Well, guess what. It took two months and without any effort or thought on my part I stopped reaching for my glasses!! I was amazed and encouraged b/c I knew that the brain is plastic and can be rewired!! It's exciting to me and it gives me hope that my horrid VM symptoms/triggers can be remodeled.

Does anyone know of a doctor and/or physical therapist in the NYC or Rockland County NY area who treats PPPD?

i really believe i have this and it started about 2 months ago. i def have a hypersensitive brain and have battled chronic anxiety and panic attacks for years. the one thing though is i have no issues driving at all. but i do suffer big time in like a grocery store for years now. i always thought i was crazy but its good to know its a real thing. But it is possible to have PPPD and be able to drive with no problems? im fine when im driving. i also feel totally fine when im laying down too. its only when im upright doing normal everyday movements like in the kitchen or bathroom the twisting and turning etc etc etc. i can take a long walk too with no issue as long as im moving forward constantly. all my symptoms seem to fit PPPD. mine started after having a bad vertigo attack that lasted like 10 seonds. ever since then ive had these PPPD symptoms (but no vertigo at all it was just that one time that triggered it) my vertigo/dizzyness i like in my head instead of external vertigo. its def worse when im having bad anxiety its very obvious it makes it much worse

Thank you. It looks like i pop up in 3pd, but additionally i have nausea very often i am tired. Are they also symptoms of 3pd? I had many tests done which are rather normal for my age. Thank you.

I wonder if insomnia is also associated with pppd. Most of these pppd symptoms starts at the same time with me, as well as insomnia.

Can pppd cause nerve issues throughout the body? Things like muscle twitching and “zaps” that come and go?

What was your actual treatment plan? I think I have pppd not sure if I have vm but it all started with two bad vertigo attacks after the stomach flu. Ever since then I’ve been dizzy everyday. Had. mRI of brain, did a VNG test and an EEG all normal. Now being sent to a neurological institution. I feel as if there is no hope left. I just want to be normal again and live normal.

Its interesting...I had 2 tumors on cerrebellum and treatment...left with tbi,balance,cognition,speaking etc probs...3yrs latter,done hbot a ton of utube physio and brain games...Im changed and a lot better,but left with this rocking drunk feeling...and focus on the outside world is a problem...lots of the 3pd symptoms ring true,so thanks for this video.

Doctors just say it’s anxiety- but it’s not, they just can’t help you

This condition is so disturbing.... it takes over my life..I have all of this ..I am seeing a great therapist and I have to start my SSRI. Praying it all works

I am suffering from PPPD for the past two years and because of my work I can't really get rid of it. I am heavily dependent on SSRIs for management of my issue. Can you recommend what should be the correct dose for the same. Also, when one is undergoing vestibular therapy , can I still go about doing my regular job or should it be done with a complete break.

Hey! So I was diagnosed with VM when PPPD wasn't really being diagnosis. We now think I probably did have PPPD caused by the VM, but it just wasn't being recognized like it is now. PPPD is that constant background dizziness which I did have more more than 3 months.

@@TheDizzyCook my lightheadedness randomly started maybe a few days a week and then then started becoming every day 24/7. No spinning, just lightheaded like on an elevator or like my head was somewhat floating. Almost like I took a drink of alcohol and had that initial head change but it never goes away. I got diagnosed with vm and neurologist started me on Effexor. Said to give it 3 weeks. I’m just wondering if vm dizziness can last all day everyday or if maybe I have pppv. I guess the good thing is they have similar treatments. Thank you for the response!

I am a hypochondriac, but i feel like I’ve been suffering from this for years. I just did a PPPD exercise and I feel more grounded. I am not as dizzy and feel like I am almost normal

Had my first covid Phizer vaccine in June 2021 and by july I was diagonised with vertibular neuritis, and 4 months down the line I had tinnitis. I am from London and to get an appointment to see an ENT specialist has been challenging. My doc put me on betahistine as I also had pressure issues, so he thought I had menieres disease. Finally had my ENT appointment nearly a year later and he thinks I have PPPD. The symptoms apparently are the after effect of vertibular neuritis. Has anyone got sick since their vaccine? I am not against it I just find it weird I was sick a month after having it. Maybe it just a concidence.

@@annedaniels8803 Thank you for not making me feel so alone. I hope it improves for you. I am definitely better than I was a year ago but still not myself. The vertigo is 80% better, and the tinnitus is more evident when there is silence so it is bearable. What is frustrating for me the most apart from the dizziness is the foggy head. I also feel like I am a bit forgetful about things.

My sister’s Meniere disease was complicated with so many 🤢🤢symptoms like vertigo or dizziness, feeling of fullness in the ear or ringing, hearing loss, imbalance, motion sickness, nausea, or nystagmus and I had to gave her Dr Madida herbs from KZread recommendation and after she using the medicine, she was with me last month telling me that she is cured completely and don’t longer experience any of the symptoms anymore.💥💥
