Love it !! I stayed 2 months in Camping Solfatara . Next to Campi Flegrei . Beautiful . Food, weather, people....everything !! And close to Napoli too. It's Dante's Paradise.....on Earth!!

I did film a bike ride of the beaches in Rio, but the day was overcast and the sky is pure white...which doesn't make for a good video. I could possibly film a bike ride while I'm there. I'm actually not going to film, but to look at an apartment there. I'm bringing my camer though just in case.

Hi, sure. Happy to offer my perspective. My primary concern when watching your walkthrough videos is that I want to be somewhere dark because you shoot in a high resolution so I want to see maximum saturation of colours and be able to immerse myself in the field of view. For those reasons I only watch very early in the morning, before sunrise, on my 32IN LED computer monitor. One other place I have watched is in the "cardio theatre" of my local Gold's gym because it is a theatre dark space. On those occassions I am generally on an elliptical machine. As for advice, I think you do a fantastic job already. I would definitely say keep the sound because the ambient noise is great for the immersive experience. I also appreciate your pop up talking points, and historical facts. Those are great even when you are at well known sights. For instance, I did not know there was an emperor's gate at the colosseum until I watched that video. I would encourage more of that. Finally, I have found myself wishing that you had not turned away as quickly when a particular shot is enthralling. For instance, I went back time after time and stopped the video to wonder at the coffered ceiling of the Pantheon. I would encourage you to linger longer for those kinds of shots. Overall, you do a wonderful job, keep ot up. You have a fan in me. I know that I will never get to experience most of these places so your wonderful videos are my way of experiencing places that I contemplate from afar. One last thing. I certainly hope that you are not spending all of your travel time concentrating on trying to make a video. In other words, I hope that these walks are taken during your second or third time you have visited these places so that you get to take in the whole experience without distraction before making a video for your subscribers.

Thanks Mike, today I went to Pompeii to video...again...and I was tried to not turn away from important scenes too quick. And yes, these videos are on my free time. After I get to know an area then I like to go back and make a video. The family has been to Rome enough times now....now I just go..walk all day and come home. ....So thank my wife. :)

Have been to Pozzouli twice and, thinking about my next trip in a few weeks, I found this walk by chance; we thoroughly enjoyed the walk on a 15-inch snowfall day in New England; so happy to have found these walks; our basement treadmill has become more attractive; I look forward to taking your other Italian walks. Yeah, pozzuoli is perfect for visiting Ischia. It's a much shorter trip too. Pozzuoli is nice. I recommend walking around there for a bit.

Yeah, her apartment was right next to the amphitheater. There is a pizza restaurant next to it that is full of pictures of her.

Pozzuoli!!! I lived just to your left where you start the video on Via G. Pergolesi, we looked directly down on the Cumana station.

I just love your walk videos! Not only is the picture quality awesome and professional, but you also seem to go to the right places. Your turns seem random, but I suspect they are planned ahead, since you never seem to hesitate. Also, I love the informational historic texts. Pozzuoli has up until now - in my head - been only a port of arrival form the islands (I landed there when I was on Procida a few years back) but thanks to you I now know it is in fact a beautiful and very well kept town, such a contrast to the Naples Spanish quarter video of yours I watched the other day. So quiet, few people and cars; may I ask when you did this walk? I love Campania and your videos are treasures, thank you very much!

Hey aekhome, thanks again for the support and feedback! For the most part my walks are all planned out. Most of the places I have already been to several times so I have an idea, then I just search online for any interesting places I shouldn't miss. I had to walk Pozzuoli twice though because it started raining the first time so the second time I already had it all figured out. I walked it on Sept. 30, 2017. I did the Spanish Quarter back in June. Have you looked into Baia? That is across the bay, most of which sunk into the water 500 years ago. It is a really neat place too. I plan on doing a walk there soon. It is getting cold and wet here now. Won't last too long though.

Excellent video and very informative. I just do not understand why Sophia Loren was put before famous Giovanni Battista Pergolesi who spent his last days in Monastery some 300 meters from Macellum Tempio Plaza explained in this video, in street Via G. Pergolesi 140. Pergolesi wrote here his famous Stabat Mater during Feb/March 1736, just few days before he died. He was only 26.

Hey Stevan, well I suppose I was just more familiar with Sophia Loren. The first time I went to Pozzuoli I had dinner at the restaurant right next to her house so I guess it left an impression on me.

Everywhere you turn in Europe it's an ancient place with 1,000's of years of history. I'd love to spend a few months in these little historic towns.

Yes, Pozzuoli is not touristy at all except for the people getting on the ferry to go to the islands. It is a nice place to go to be a part of the local life.

As good as always. I was wondering if you thought of doing a walking tour of the fictional town of "Vigata", the real location is in the south of Sicily in the province of Ragusa. It is the home, they even have a statue of him, of Italy's world famous detective Salvo Montalbano who is the main character of the novels by Andrea Camilleri. The real town is really beautiful.

Pozzuoli potrebbe essere un altra sorrento, anche se, forse anche piu bella di sorrento. Pozzuoli ha bisogno sul lungomare il ripascimento della spiaggia, e un paio di alberghi come si deve il resto e tutto lì.

Bella Italia. A busy Mediterranean city complete with narrow streets and traffic/parking congestion. Most interesting were the Roman features. A boardwalk without boards, I believe the Europeans say promenade (a thoroughfare for walking or strolling). It would have been interesting to learn more about the commemorative stone plates in the arched underpass. The old town is beautifully restored. The single-lane tunnel must pass underneath. It is disappointing that you almost fully left out the geologic features, they are what makes Pozzuoli unique! Some of these cliffs must be welded tuff from massive pyroclastic flows and a number of neighborhoods are located inside craters within the caldera. The area is called Campi Flegrei (burning fields). Your video is a bit like actually being there. I downloaded it, put it on a hard drive, and watched it on the living room TV (yes, a sneakernet! :-). You move through some streets, just hear ambient sounds, and read the names of shops and restaurants. Thank you. Explore safely and stay healthy.

You made a small mistake at 22:58 : what you have indicated as MONTE NUOVO is actually the MONTE GAURO; the real Monte Nuovo is on the left

i used to live there, its better than before, (i was there like in 2014) when i was 10, also this when i was younger like in 2011 i remember screaming "I dOnt WaNna Go OuT oF itALy"|11!!1" When i had to go home, and yes, i thought this park was the whoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooole italy. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♀️ also there 4:16 i remember going with my parents there me hugging my fake dog.. good old memories. and i was there EVERY place u walked

I prefer you walking tours as they have the real sound of a walk as if I were doing it in person. Not a big fan of annoying music.

Ciao, Norman...No, but it is still a really great place to see if you are already in the area. Also, it is where you can catch a ferry to Ischia and Procida. I have some friends that live down there and I always like being down there.

Actually, it is a wonderful place to visit filled with history - and you can tour Rione Terra now - an amazingly layered archeological experience. Still actively being studied. The atmosphere is wonderful if you take time to absorb it.

Something needs to be done about the awful graffiti on the walls.
