Great to watch but I really don't like the rules. The Iranian's last attempt for example would have been good for any other powerlifting federation (he didn't bend is arms again, he just slowed down) and you see that he can press the weight out by himself before the spotters step in. Anyway, great to see what enormous weights these men can bench.

It's because you have to show absolute control, no one arm being lower than the other one, always even.... if not you'll be enabling guys to lift more weight but eventually getting injured. This keeps these guys benching what's really within their strength capability.. and it cuts the poison before it spreads (cheaters).... lol Edit: if not, they'll just be your everyday run in the mill youtube✌bench press record breakers✌lmao, with their simulation declined bech strategies, 3+inch arch, straps, bench shirts, rubber band roided but claim natural assisted benches etc😂😂

Just a note for the commentator. Hany and many other Muslim athletes when they bow like this as a celebration, they don't kiss the ground but they perform one of the moves of the regular prayer which represents being humble in front of Allah. It's just to thank his almighty Allah for his support and it's called in Arabic (Sajdat Shukr)
