Therefore it is perfectly safe to conclude, that such people are still currently DECEIVED into IDOLATRY, and therefore are not being led by the Holy Spirit. that is so inspiring! i've been struggling with it for 20 years now. Jesus has helped me come a long way from drinking a liter of vodka every day but i still have not quit. i no longer get drunk but i DO still drink 3 or 4 beers every night and i really need to stop. pray for me please! congratulations on your sobriety! that's incredible, my friend and Brother in Christ! ❤🙏

I also was a full blown alcoholic constantly drinking. Then one day my wife (who now is in heaven) came to me saying “if you don’t stop drinking you could push our marriage to divorce”. That night I got down on my knees and cried out to Jesus begging him to help me to stop drinking. That was 26 years ago and I own it all to Jesus Christ for delivering me from my alcoholism. Our God is a awesome God!!

That women standing up to oprah telling the false gospel is so bold and brave. Nothing other than the spirit of God working with her. Id like to meet her and thank her for being so bold and proclaiming the only true gospel

Sorry I have to write this. He, pastor David Cho, was the pastor of one of the world's largest churches in Seoul, advocated the "prosperity gospel," was sued over church finances, and had a mistress in Paris. I don't know if he truly repented before his death in 2021... God bless you all!

You are correct. I was totally into South Korean culture and the prosperity movement. Therefore, I read all of this man’s books. He not only said God healed him of tuberculosis in a Third World country when he was 17, but he said God told him if he didn’t take a bank loan to start a church that he would send him to hell. God does not speak that way. His son took the fall for the embezzlement because that is how their culture works. The oldest son takes the responsibility for the family. there are other things I wrote on a comment exposing David Younggi Cho.

And I remember there was a time when my mother respected Pastor Yonggi Cho as much as she respected Benny Hinn. On the other hand, at that time I was skeptical about them.

Sadly, especially in charismatic & the "word of faith movement", David Younggi Cho was, like so many others. A VERY rich man who claimed God spoke to him in ways that the God of the bible never would. Sadly, his claims were so fantastic, people wanted as much as he had & he ended up as an object of their worship instead of the Lord, Jesus Christ!

I used to be a buddhist, I spent two years in the temple on my way to become a monk, I did over 20 vipassana retreats. When Jesus revealed himself to me I cried, I had been searching for truth my whole life, and I found it in the one place I least expected to find it, the conviction of Jesus is unlike anything else, the peace that He brings is like a refreshing release and the relationship is the truest relationship you can ever have.

That girl is the massenger of God🙏🙏🙏

But Jesus said "My Father is the only true God". There is only one God, even the Father. There is only one Lord, Jesus Christ. You give Jesus the title of both? And let every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Why do you confess Jesus Christ is God? Thats against scripture.

So, I watched the video. Here’s what I noticed: That man’s testimony sounds like any prosperity teacher. He is selling a Jesus that heals. Selling, I say, because he gets wealthy by going around everywhere to sell his story. He gets paid. And gullible people who only want what they can get like health and prosperity, love that kind of message. Here’s what his testimony lacked: Acknowledging his sin and repentance. He never recognized he is a sinner. He never repented of sin. He only talked about his own story. No mention of repentance at all. He sounds like every other false teacher. Fake testimony.

This Asian Preacher of the Gospel founded the largest church in the world. Powerful man of God. 💜

This is Yonggi Cho, he has since passed away but before he died, he had embezzled 12 million dollars from his church. Not saying his testimony isn't true and useful but his sin of embezzlement certainly stained his reputation and witness to the world.

This man was a prosperity gospel preacher. I know because I used to be in that movement until God showed me it was wrong. I have been to Young Cho’s Church in Seoul because at that time I was still in the prosperity camp. His books the fourth dimension is like Bethel the physics of Heaven. It is not Christianity, but new age. His son wound up taking the fall for his embezzlement because that is how South Korean culture works. The oldest son takes the responsibility for the family. I read his autobiography and he was 17 when he said that God healed him of tuberculosis. I don’t believe it after learning of all the other wrong things. When I visited his church, another pastor was preaching. It was a nice feel good message. But the gospel was not preached.

I read all his books. Because I was not only into prosperity Gospel, but I was also into South Korean life and culture. That would be God speaking out of the Bible. In his book the fourth dimension, he talks about visualizing things to help them come true. That is straight up new age. Also the church I went to when I was involved in the prosperity Gospel, that pastor knew Younggi Cho and had preached in his church and had had him as a guest speaker where he lived.

Hey Henry, to be kind here - David Yonggi Choi was a false teacher and not someone I would recommend - Cho's Bibliology: the extent of revelation and the method of interpretation. Cho subscribes to an impossible position -- the mutually exclusive view of the close of the canon and the view of the continuity of special revelation. In so doing, he undermines the authority and the sufficiency of God's Word. Cho's method of interpretation is so allegorical, arbitrary, and subjective that he virtually distorts Biblical truths and textual meanings. (b) In the doctrine of God, Cho's man-centered philosophy causes him to deviate from the Biblical teaching in the areas of God's goodness, God's will, and God's sovereignty. When he insists that God's will for His children is prosperity and health, he disregards the clear Scriptural teaching regarding Christian suffering and contentment. Cho organizes his teaching around a man-centered theology when he asserts that God cannot do anything unless man cooperates with Him. Thus, he seriously undermines God's sovereign will, power, and position. (c) The three major fallacies of Cho's Pneumatology (doctrine of the Holy Spirit) lie in the work, baptism, and gifts of the Holy Spirit. Cho's teaching of the work of the Holy Spirit is closely related to pantheism. By insisting that man can obtain and manipulate the power of the Holy Spirit, Cho, at best, repudiates the sovereignty of the Spirit and threatens His personality; at worst, he virtually dabbles in occultism. Cho believes that the sign of the Spirit baptism is speaking in tongues, and, thereby, he refuses to acknowledge that the evidence of such an experience lies in moral virtues, not miraculous proofs. Cho contends that God still grants His children miraculous and supernatural gifts. But since the Holy Spirit divides gifts as He wills (1 Cor. 12:11), Cho violates clear Scriptural teaching when he encourages his people to pursue such gifts. (d) In Soteriology, Cho's teachings on the nature of the Gospel and the doctrine of faith have departed from the truth. He insists that the Gospel includes more than the forgiveness of sins. Cho's view on faith is rather radical since he believes that a "usable" faith will definitely experience miracles. For Cho, if there is no miracle, there is no faith. (e) With respect to the doctrine of sin, Cho overlooks man's sin nature when he insists that man is able to attain his own unlimited potential, simply by exercising a positive attitude, which includes imagination and thinking. This concept ignores the Apostle Paul's teaching that emphasizes that even the believer cannot escape the conflict between his old sinful nature and new nature (Rom. 7:15-24). For Cho, human sin is substituted with human sovereignty. (f) Cho's doctrine of angelology is based on his theory of the "fourth dimension," a concept which ultimately leads him into dualism and occultism. He believes that the evil fourth dimension is able to do what God does. Cho also confuses demonic influence with demonic possession, insisting that all unsaved persons are possessed or indwelt by demons. Cho also attributes all sins and sicknesses to the devil. (g) Cho claims that if there is no visualization, there will be no church growth. He insists that every minister needs to have visualization, the process in a person's mind through which pictures in visions or dreams bring about miracles and powers. This method, however, is not only unbiblical, it is the most powerful occult technique known, having been practiced by shamans and witchdoctors for thousands of years. [First, its foundation is unbiblical because Cho misinterprets Bible verses to fit his peculiar theory. He also ignores God's warning regarding the dangers and deceitfulness of dreams and visions (Deut. 13:1-5; Jer. 23:25-32; 27:9-10). Second, it is an unsound practice since it relies on the human mind and is related to the occult. Hence, the Scripture condemns the practice. Third, it is biased because Cho relies on his own interpretation of Biblical examples and his personal experiences.] (h) Divine healing is another method which Cho uses to generate church growth, claiming this is the most essential element. This is unbiblical for many reasons. First, it rests on a false premise. The Bible shows explicitly that healing or miracles do not necessarily bring a person to the saving knowledge of Christ (cf. Matt. 9:22-25,32-34; 11:20-24; Acts 4:5-22). Second, it fosters wrong motivation since it encourages the crowd to come to church with ulterior motives. Third, it obscures the true purpose of healing, which in the Bible authenticates the messiahship of Christ and the apostleship of apostles. Finally, Cho's concept conceals the true nature of healing since he confuses functional disorders with organic illnesses. Furthermore, contrary to the Biblical pattern, Cho fails to "heal" some (all?) who desire healing. (i) Cho teaches that prayer will definitely alter the material world and lead to church growth, but he fails to realize that true prayer does not necessarily demand the changing of circumstances or the material world for man; rather, it requires the changing of the attitude of the believer and the submission of his will to God's will. Cho also twists the meaning of "praying in the Holy Spirit" when he insists that it refers to speaking in tongues. Rather, when Paul and Jude encourage believers to pray in the Holy Spirit, they are referring to the assistance, the influence, and the intercession of the Holy Spirit (Rom. 8:26). It has nothing to do with speaking in tongues as Cho teaches.

I wish I had seen your eloquent comment before I wrote mine. Mine are so weak compared to what you wrote, but are in total agreement that this man was a false teacher.

Hallelujah, praise God for that young girl witnessing and this man being touched by Jesus and accepting His grace ❤ Jesus is still healing today, I did a three day fast and I was just doing it out of obedience and to deny my flesh so I can draw closer to the Lord, and the bladder problem I was suffering from that mimicked a uti but I don’t have a uti and the doctor doesn’t know what’s wrong. I was bleeding and in severe pain but the Lord healed me on the afternoon of the second day of that three day fast. It wasn’t even why I was fasting but in His abundant mercy the Lord Jesus healed me and the pain and bleeding stopped!!

His 4th dimension has traits of the new age "law of attraction" that the prosperity gospel preachers love. He sided with them unfortunately... His later years were embroiled in controversy... The worship of Mary and Catholicism comes to mind when watching this video. It displaces the very thing that Jesus did for us on the cross that is the core of Christianity. There is no mediator between ourselves and Christ. It is he alone that we come to for forgiveness. You cannot replace idolatry with veneration and call it a day. The two are synonymous.

I grew up going to the church plant of this pastor's church in the states. I wouldn't recommend his church, the churches in his denomination nor his ministry. I would use a lot of discernment and prayer.

Well my wife had TS, you don’t die from TS , its the side attributes that it causes ie: kidney failure, epilepsy and others. You can tell straight away if someone has this rare disease through nail lesions, snake skin, white birth marks. It is a disease that appears from no where and rarely is a hereditary one. No. He was a false teacher. Cho's teachings are an idolatrous mix of a little Biblical teaching with a lot of occult healing, prophesying, visualization, sorcery, and pagan mind techniques. Cho teaches that Christians can get anything they want by calling upon the spirit world in the "fourth dimension" and envisioning (visualizing) their felt needs, no matter how crass and gross. Cho teaches that positive thinking, positive speaking, and positive visualization are the keys to success, and that anyone can literally "incubate" and give birth to physical reality He teaches the need for a vivid mental picture coupled with a burning desire and a firm conviction that the goal is already accomplished. Cho calls this process: visualizing the goal, then incubating it into reality by strength of faith -- or would it be will-power? He teaches that believers may order up wealth and success; anything they want as long as it is moral. The key to getting these things is the art of fantasizing them, because God cannot bring them into being unless the individual incubates the image. He and his son were also charged with embezzling 12 million dollars in church funds.
