Being able to stop is way important than going fast. Stopping a heavy e-bike plus rider, makes braking a #1 prioriity. Do not skip this step, if making your own e-bike. Great video, thankyou for pointing this out! Motorcycle grade brakes is a great idea, good job making adapters to fit your bike!👍👍👍❤️

loving the look of your new mid drive 3:14 . I can see there is no way some downhill 4 pots are going to stop that beast. I built a 4kw 60v mid drive and my rear break smoked. Now using 3kw and it's not so bad 10mph less top end. Have a coffee on me.

My Tektro Dorado quad pistons just aren’t cutting the cake! Brake rub and stopping power are my main concerns. I will have to email you to see if I can purchase these adapters. I’m also curious what front forks you put onto the cyber bike?! Love ya!

Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like your not on mountain bike down hill forks. It looks like your on some kind of pit bike or mx dirt bike fork. If you're on mtb forks then I see the need for the custom adapter, but if not then you shouldn't need it. Also would these adapters that you made fit alot of downhill mtb forks like fox 40? If so it would be nice if you could sell it to the public.

I use the Tektro Dorado twin rotor setup. I have a 55kg ebike and I weigh about 90kg. It stops it so hard, I have to glue the tyre onto the rim and they last a very long time! I've had the same pads on there for 4 years due to the doubled pad surface area. Obviously motorcycle breaks are better, but if your a weight nazi and you don't want to have to modify your forks with an adaptor bracket, then the twin rotor tektro setup will do the trick if you have the DNM forks with double mounts :)

Dude I think your videos would be a lot better if I didn’t feel like I was being sold “Cyberbike” every minute. Focus on putting content out there that enables and empowers people. That will grow your presence, channel, and brand way more than a singular product that is not cheap enough and in volume production. Sure, mention the Cyberbike. It’s a great idea and very cool. Product showcase is cool. People have been clamoring to see the Cyberbike perform in the real world. Nuts and bolts behind the scenes about how to build these bikes is cool too. Sharing guidance and wisdom about your learnings is probably the best though.the best content on KZread is all about learning.

Bradley Allan Davis .... I agree in principal with your post, however .... in this particular case, I think you are simply barking on the wrong tree. Ladi and his channel has been always trying to educate people. Yes, he now makes full bikes for sale ... but so what? Why wouldn’t he, if he can? .... He’s showing you enough to make your own Cyberbike, if you wanted to .... but I am doubtful, you will make it as good or less expensive. It’s super hard to do one, even more so both.

How thick are the discs you use? You should be aware that warping can occur when too much heat is put into the disks. Fading because of repeated conventional braking can also be an issue. Of course regenerative braking is preferable but I doubt present legislation allows to include that capacity into the overall braking capacity. In other words: If you want to have your bike CE approved you will have to prove that the system still has enough stopping power and endurance under constant use when 0 % regenerative braking is used. I'd estimate that you need brake disks of 4 to 5 mm thickness, depending of the used material, on this bike. It's good to see you are taking this sort of stuff into consideration as well. Off course legislation can be interpreted so strictlty it slows innovation but overall it saves lives.

@@sift8386 If you decide to build one yourself, I would highly recommend doing so!! It is very rewarding, as you will gain confidence and skill with fixing ebikes, just as i have done. If you stick with building a basic ebike that has a battery with a built in BMS then it is very easy to do, as all you will need is, controller, motor/wheel, battery with bms built in (just a couple of cables to plug plug!) and throttle, thats it!!!! If you can fix normal push bikes and push a few cables together! you can build a fricking simple EBike thats powerful enough to hit 50 mph!!. It's only when you start going really big power that you need to worry about learning how to wire up BMS systems etc, that can come later. But if you want a quality ebike from america then i strongly suggest you go on to the Endless sphere facebook page and Endless sphere sales and wants facebook page and sign up and there are tons of people in the U.S who build ebikes at a very good price!!
