Powerful Conversation w/ a Mormon Missionary

Ойын-сауық

Jeff Durbin engaged in a loving and graceful conversation with two Mormon gentleman outside of the Mormon temple in Mesa, Arizona, during the most recent Christmas Lights event. One of the men was a returned missionary from a mission in Singapore.
In this conversation, Jeff challenges the Latter-day Saints on several issues: the test for truth, the Person of Christ, becoming gods, and the Gospel. We hope this blesses you and you consider sharing it with Christians and Mormons alike.

Satan has Gentiles out fighting against Jesus Christ's only true Church all the time, but the Apostle Paul explained that Gentiles are “without Christ” and “strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope.” They are “without God in the world,” and all because they are “aliens from the commonwealth of Israel” (Ephesians 2:11-12). Ephesians 2:12, “That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world.” MORE BIBLICAL SCRIPTURES therestoredgospelofjesuschrist.wordpress.com/2017/04/06/all-gentiles-are-condemned-unless-they-accept-the-restored-gospel-of-jesus-christ/

Carlos Valdez Jr Mormons believe in most of the same things as other christians. The only reason most don’t agree with them is because they have another testament of Christ. They don’t discount the Bible. They use both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. The Bible is Jesus’ time in the Middle East. The Book of Mormon is Jesus’ time after he was resurrected and visited the people in the americas. time They just don’t believe in the trinity. They believe the father, the son, and the Holy Ghost are three separate people. While there are differences, those Mormons are not too different from the rest of Christianity.

I pray you truly listen to what he says with an open heart. The book of mormon simply can not be true. It gives testimony about things that just can not be true. It mentions metals in the new world that just did not exist yet. It mentions animals that were not in the americas yet. It mentions plants that did NOT exist here yet. Just because they are not completely knowledgeable doesn’t mean that they’re wrong. They are being respectful and not forcing anything on him like this man does to every person he meets telling them they need to repent, a true and loving gospel wouldn’t act that way. Whether a 40 yr old man who has dedicated his life to prove against the Mormon church can say more words then 22 yr old men or not doesn’t mean one is true. Just look at which one seems more at peace. All im gonna say

Pastor Jeff is an artist of persuasion, he is one of the many Antichrist the Holy Bible forewarns us of. He is evil and he is sucking you all in if you think he was in any way teaching the truth. I wished that I was the one there asking him about the scriptures he doesn’t touch on. He is a deceiver of men, he is teaching the philosophies of men not God, If you can’t see this the it is my guess you are not understanding the words of the prophets, Paul is one of the greatest apostles teaching the people the word of God very simply and Jeff twist and turn his words around so the majority of God’s children don’t even understand them. Jeff is a servant for the Devil, he is is eloquent in telling lies, and making a mockery of the Holy Bible.

Jan Leyba Actually it was the other way around. Joseph Smith did not like Christianity. It was of the devil, all wrong, anti Christ (like you just posted), Christians were deceived by Satan...... So, Joseph Smith invented his own god who was once a man and a sex addict just like he was. This is called idolatry, when you make a god that you feel comfortable with. A god of your imagination. Then he told his followers that they, too could have endless sex in the afterlife. This is called lying. Jesus said we would be as the angels and that death ended marriage. I Cor. 7:2 Joseph Smith was also a blasphemer. He mocked God and said God was once a man and he mocked Jesus Christ and said he was the brother of Lucifer. And of course everyone knows that Joseph Smith was an adulterer. He married 15 women in 1842 alone and lied about it four times in writing that year, married eleven women who were already married to other men (so much for their 'forever' families), married two sets of sisters, two sets of a mother and her daughter, ordered a printing press destroyed that printed things he didn't like, had himself anointed king of the earth during the millenium, etc., etc.. Your LDS 'heavenly father' approves of such wicked behavior. And you even worship him. How sad. If Joseph Smith were alive today he would be arrested. More importantly he would be diagnosed as having Bipolar Disorder, hpersexualization and delusional thinking. You are following the teachings of an extremely mentally ill man. Do you know of any married man who thinks he will be married to other men's wives in the afterlife? How many married men do you know married 15 women last year? How many married men are married to two sets of sister? Two sets of a mother and a daughter? Your heavenly father has very low morals.

Because they are fake.

One of the things I struggle with when sharing the gospel with mormons is that they seem to agree with what you are saying, and this ofcourse is because we use the same language as Jeff said here. It can be hard to break these moulds. I remember mentioning the trinity and getting a chance to explain it and the young guys basically said, "yup, we believe that too". It's hard. I think the right thing to do is point to Jesus I'm the scriptures and what he has to say unto things. Well done Jeff.

I am a Mormon and this man just doesn’t understand what is true and what isn’t, he has clearly done his research. This doesn’t mean he tells facts, he preaches only by word, when Mormons preach through doctorine and revelation given to us through our prophet. We can pray and feel for ourselves what is true, this man only blabbers facts. And cults are a newly found religion, you simply can become new again without conversion.

EveryThingYouNeed This pastor has a deep knowledge of scripture and Mormon doctrine. These kids didn’t dispute his knowledge of Mormon scripture. The great thing is that these kids didn’t get agitated and flea once they had no response as many more “trained” Mormons are triggered to do once confronted. There is only one Truth and that amazing Truth is my savior and has always been. He didn’t aspire to become God, nor did the Father. We cannot become the Father, the Son or the Holy Spirit. Grace is something available to those who know who Christ Jesus is and are willing to sacrifice themselves for Him. I pray you will. Thank you, Lord.

At my home I sat down comfortably with two young Mormon fellows, who looked nothing as these, but were very clean in appearance. But to the point, for that remark above is not it: They had no problem in acknowledging their faith in Jesus from the beginning in their admitting themselves as sinners seeking saving, from the beginning with their introductions. We spoke and they left me with their book. Where I just read opening of the booklet, and set it aside. Praying for them, as we had done in group for each other, and in parting. For each individually is searching for AllMightY Creator’s Truthful Will, and help in our ability to do so, and not men’s’.

Good missionary. But we get the grace and the power for our missionary by prayers (James 5, 16) and mercy of God. So the most powerful missionary work, is to pray like Silouan of Mount Athos did: "He who has the Holy Spirit in him, to however slight a degree, sorrows Day and Night for all mankind. His heart is filled with pity for all God’s creatures, more especially for those who do not know God, or who resist Him and therefore are bound for torment. For them, more than for himself, he prays Day and Night, that all may repent and know the Lord." - Silouan the Athonite Such a love, is perfect compassion, where we can experience the sorrowful cosmic unity with the whole humankind. Not even the lamentation of a widow who has lost her only son can be compared with the lamentation and daily tears of these saintly ascetics. The pain of their soul becomes metaphysical, and the cry of their distress resounds in all the deserts of this world and becomes the most powerful prayer.
