POWER THRIFTING POTTERY!/ Thrift with Me for eBay/ St. Vinny's/ Goodwill/ Thrift Stores/ Reselling

Hi, there! I'm Sandra with Brew City Thrifts. I find my treasures at thrift stores, estate sales, garage sales, yard sales, and flea markets in the Milwaukee region and sell them on eBay and Amazon Marketplace. I love thrifting because it combines my interests in arts & crafts, history, and recycling/up-cycling.
Today, I have just 30 minutes to power thrift at St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in Waukesha, WI. Right away, I snag a piece of vintage Rowe Pottery, a home state favorite produced in Cambridge. Other finds include: a vintage Laura Ashley ceramic lidded canister; a pottery mug made by a local place called The Pottery Shop; a vintage novelty mug made in California; a wooden jewelry box with modern, curved lines; a stoneware frog incense burner; and ANOTHER piece of vintage Rowe Pottery -- this time it's a jug with a bird on it! Not bad for just 30 minutes!
Join me as I continue to learn the art and craft of You Tubing and share the fun of thrifting. Come back to my channel to learn more about Milwaukee-area thrifting over the months ahead -- there are many places to go and lots of thrifting to be found! If you like this video, please comment, subscribe, and share!

Ha-ha! Thanks for watching -- especially since I'm giving you thrifting anxiety! :) My Franciscan pieces don't go very fast, and neither do my bakeware, so I'm pretty choosy. Do you collect or resell youreself?

New sub! My kids live in Wisconsin and we miss them. We visited them a couple times. They are up by Green Bay. I’ve done some thrifting myself in that area. That metal box was a powder box from the 30’s or 40’s. My noni had one. I love it

That metal musical piece was a dresser powder box. I believe either art deco or art nouveau era.

Thanks so much, Debra! That makes sense, with the curved inner surface. I appreciate your suggestion of its age as well. Like I said in the video, sometimes I kick myself for leaving cool things behind. Thanks for watching!

That was the same metal music box powder box my mom had. She got it for her wedding in 1948. I've been looking for one for a very long time. You found some very nice pottery pieces.

New Sub. Your thrift store seems wonderful to the ones we have here. Lucky you. I love all the pottery items there, wish I was there. One question, do you do voiceover when editing or you just record your talking while in the store? It is quite loud :)

Hi, @jeannec7758. Thanks for subscribing and for your question. I've tried both approaches, and my more standard way to do it is to reduce the background noise to about 15% and voice over at that level. It seems to preserve the sense of being there with me while keeping the noise level at a minimum. Apologies for when it's loud. I'll listen to this video again to assess. Cheers!
