Listening to Osteen, a person would think God primarily wants to make poor people wealthy, sad people happy, and insecure people self-confident. But, according to the Bible, God primarily wants to make dead people live (John 5:24), wicked people righteous (Matthew 9:13), and His enemies His friends (Romans 5:10). Happiness, self-assurance, and eternal prosperity, according to the Bible, come as a result of submission to God’s will, starting with salvation (Matthew 6:33), and always in the context of His will (Hebrews 10:36).

WITH ALL THE CHAOS GOING ON AROUND THE WORLD, DONT LET IT DISTRACT U FROM THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION, R U SAVED? R U 100% SURE UR GOING TO HEAVEN AFTER THIS LIFE? Jesus Christ our saviour died for all our sins!! He already paid the price for all sin over 2000 yrs ago when he died for us on the cross. ❤️ all we must do to be saved is believe and trust in Jesus Christ; that he died for all our sins!!! Repentance is a change of mind,turning towards Christ to trust in him alone, NOT repenting of sins, we are under grace not the law!! The law was given to show our need for a saviour, not for us to follow it as if that’s gonna get u to heaven, because we all break God’s law!! People who repent of sins are relying on their works to save them; or they think they just be “good enough” to go to Heaven but God says we ALL sin and we ALL fall short of God’s holiness and perfection, he’s perfect he can’t even let 1 sin get into Heaven. That’s why God always had the perfect plan to send his son Jesus Christ, who is also God, (second part of Trinity), to be born of a Virgin and live a perfect sinless life, to die for us because he made us and he loves us so much. Dont let Satan deceive you into thinking that you must do something to be or stay saved, Jesus gets all the glory because he did it ALL. People who bring up sin are still trying to follow the law but the law saves NONE. That is why JESUS is the only way to heaven, u gotta trust in him that he died for ALL ur sins and u will be saved the moment u trust in him, once saved always saved. Satan loves to put the focus on urself instead of Christ, because he knows that none receive salvation based on how good or bad they are. U gotta understand there’s an ongoing spiritual battle going on between good vs evil constantly. The Devil and his fallen ones are always trying to stop people from receiving the one and only true gospel of Jesus Christ. That’s why he created religions and “many ways to go to heaven and u just gotta be a good person typa stuff” ... ITS WICKED AND EVIL AND SATANIC, BECAUSE SO MANY SOULS ARE DAMNED BECAUSE THEY WERE FOOLED AND NEVER HAD RECEIVED OR BELIEVED IN THE DEATH BURAL AND RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST AS THE REMISSION FOR OUR SINS. Trust me there are a lot of “good” and nice people in hell. Because they trusted in themselves instead of Jesus’ sacrifice for us, ppl say how can God send people to hell but remember, Jesus Christ died the worst imaginable death to keep you from going from there for eternity, that’s LOVE. It’s a FREE GIFT, there is NOTHING Satan hates more than how easy and simple it is, so he deceives the whole world and corrupts and perverts the simplicity and complicates it by adding the law and works unto it to deceive u and try to take u down with him. it’s so easy to receive simply by just trusting in Jesus that he died for ALL your sins not just past and present, future too bc we will all sin until we receive our glorified perfect eternal bodies. The atonement of Christ provides us with healing and the abundant life, according to Osteen, but apparently receiving forgiveness from a holy God is not necessary. Another problem in Osteen’s message is his promotion of name-it-claim-it or word-faith theology: “We have to conceive it on the inside before we’re ever going to receive it on the outside,” Osteen writes. “If you don’t think you can have something good, then you never will. The barrier is in your mind. . . . Your own wrong thinking can keep you from God’s best. . . . To experience [God’s] immeasurable favor, you must rid yourself of that small-minded thinking and start expecting God’s blessings, start anticipating promotion and supernatural increase. You must conceive it in your heart before you can receive it. In other words, you must make increase in your own thinking, then God will bring those things to pass” (from Your Best Life Now, chapter 1). There is nothing biblical about such teaching. There is no power inherent in positive thinking, and we do not create our own realities. God is not our servant, standing by and waiting for us to fire up our imaginations so He can lavish us with material goods. Jesus told His followers to “give up everything you have” (Luke 14:33), not to seek to get more.

Hey Ayannah! I thought I'd share a bit of my testimony with you. I used to be EXTREMELY anxious & fearful. Then I began filling myself with what God says in His Word. We only have so much space in our minds that we can fill. The more that we fill ourselves with what God says, the more we will see ourselves & our circumstances the way that God wants us to. But isn't that the problem with him? Almost everything he does is motivational speeches. God didn't call us to only preach happy "you can do it" messages to people, he called us to preach the word of God and the true Gospel to those who need it.

@@hitchthemotivator.523 I do agree with you, we all do have different paths but if that is so then be should call himself a Christian motivational speaker not a pastor. The role of a pastor is to lead a church and to teach biblical truth. People can have a tendency to idolize pastors if they do not know better and it is a pastor's job to encourage people to read their Bibles and to rely on the Bible alone. Unfortunately it does not seem as if there are many pastors of these mega churchs that do that.
