I have both. Gotta be able to fill the tank.

I have onboard air on one of my trucks and also have a Powertank. The few downsides to having a Powertank is that it can be difficult and inconvenient finding a place to refill the bottle. It is in Phoenix, where I live. Second thing is on longer trips I find myself rationing my air (Last trip to Los Cabo's was 3 weeks). I never have to do that in my other truck. Usually when I'm with a group airing down or up takes a while anyway. Mostly because everyone is BSing. I also have Powertanks field shock kit. Good products but for me there are inconveniences you don't get with a good onboard air system.

BIG money. Wow. I picked up a 2 gallon mini compressor at tractor supply for $69.00. Had to put a 1500 watt inverter in to run it. Plenty of air. $150.00 total. It's a nice easy project. Plus you can run alot of other things with the inverter.

Closest place that fills co2 on the spot for me is two hours away. PT seem nice though.

Great video! Can this power tank be mounted to my jeep? If so, where do you recommend? I have a 1987 YJ on 35's. thank you!

What about E rated tires trying to get to 65-70?

You can buy a regular CO2 tank and hoses and regulator for way less than 1/2 price and my tank is also dot approved . I don't understand why PT is so expensive .. I guess people don't know that you can buy the components separately?

While this is true, some people aren't tech savvy like that and would prefer to purchase a product that is complete and covered under a manufacturers warranty. Some people build race cars, some people buy them 🤘

How many tires/times can you fill up a tire from 15 lbs up to 35 lbs before your tank is empty?

We have it mounted onto the Factory Roll-Bar in our JK. We used the Power Tank JK Mount for it ;)

The problem where I live is there is no place to refill those tanks up

Any place that refills CO2 Tanks. Some Welding shops and hardware stores do. 😉

I looked into this and, it’s a cool option but not as convenient as a onboard air compressor.

They definitely have their uses and limitations. We can see where an onboard air system could be more convenient. For those who don't mind an extra few minutes airing up, onboard air is a great option.

It doesn't take long, it would be similar to filling a propane tank time wise.

Can I use my large air compressor to fill my CO2 tank instead of having to go pay for CO2?

Not practical. Won’t hold enough air to be useful. In a nutshell,C02 has the capacity because it’s in liquid form.

CO2 is rated for 1800 psi and High Pressure Air is double that. (Scuba is 3K psi) so, no, you can't... You can fill a HP tank with a lower psi gas...

Cool but $800??

I must have a different size vivair… mine sits up from 12 to 32 in 3 min

It comes down to preference, really...😎 We prefer running errands or even having lunch while we have our tanks filled rather than our families standing on the side of the road waiting for our 40" tires to get back to 35psi. Have an awesome Wednesday! 😉🙌

Jeep have too many issues. But your rig.

vertical air tank . what he doesn't show you is you have to have the air compressor fill the tank full of air like 150 psi and that probably takes you longer than 2 minutes.

That is not an air tank, that is a CO2 tank ;)
