    I cooked ribs using his recipe last week,(one small short rib ),to try it out...they were fall of the bone tender and had fantastic taste! In fact I saved all the broth from the ribs,and put it in the freezer and used it for a stew i made 2 weeks later! Anyhow...I am making them again tomorrow,and expect nothing less than awesome results. I love my ppcxl,use it all the time, i cooked a 12 lb turkey in it, in under an hour! The meat was falling off the bone tender and juicy! :)

    I like the idea of saving the broth. I don't think I'll put the Bbq sauce in it so the broth won't have that flavor.

    I’ve never made pork ribs in my cooker but these sound great. My beef ribs I make almost every week. I have an electric pressure cooker and I love it! The only thing bad I can say is that the coating does come off no matter how careful u are.. The only electric pressure cooker I found that has the stainless steal pot is the instant pot and for this reason only, this will be my next purchase when this one goes out. I’ve had mine for 3 yrs. I paid $89.00 plus tax and I use it at-least twice a week. When I do my beef ribs, I use a half cup of water and I cook them for an hour and let it release on its own. They always fall off the bone. I use a few shakes of liquid smoke, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper and a couple of shakes of Toni’s seasoning to add a little kick to my half cup of water and a half cube of beef bullion. To speed up the process, when I’m stirring up my water mixture and seasonings, I put the pot on the broil setting until it boils then add the ribs and lock the top on. Really speeds to cooking process up. Broil them off in the oven after they cook an hour until the bbq gets that nice crisp to it and it starts to turn a little black on the edges. OMG!!! So delicious!

    Gail Holmes I saw a comment where someone purchased a stainless steel pot as a second backup pot. Mine isn’t peeling yet, but I plan to buy a second pot and will make sure it’s stainless steel. I think they are interchangeable between brands as long as they are the same quart size. Thanks for the tip about boiling/sauté before putting the lid on...makes sense.

    Diane McQuay sweet! Thank you for that info! Girl, I use mine all the time. I didn’t read my comment but one way my family members contributed to ours chipping is tapping the spoon on the side of the pot to remove food stuck on the utensil. Smart move guys lol! So don’t do that. Once I figured that out, I cook in it and I immediately dump into a different bowl or whatever.

  • @sawyerrob949
    @sawyerrob9495 жыл бұрын

    I put ranch dressing along with salt and pepper all over the cold ribs to marinate right in the cooker for up to an hour, then 30 minutes in the cooker on the "canning" setting. Then I take them out, cover with BBQ sauce and put them into a cast iron skillet that's been under the broiler for 5 minutes. Then I put the skillet with ribs back under the broiler for 6 minutes, turn them and 6 more minutes, that gives me the "burnt ends" I really like! As for the juice left in the cooker, I pour that into a fat separator and use one cup of that liquid along with one cup of water, back into the cooker with one cup of rice and use the rice setting. That gives me fantastic rice to have on the side with my fantastic ribs!

    Brandon Hinton maybe what perspire cooker do you have ? On the ppc if you Push the cook time selecter button you can increment too high maybe that might have been the difference I’m not sure hopefully that helps in one hour if it’s not done then just set your timer for another 30 minutes or so

    Guys, I think he put to much liquid. You were boiling the ribs and I’m sure they weren’t completely submerged. Try a cup of broth to steam pressurize your ribs. Stand them in your rack if you want them out of the liquid...9 months ago, you’ve probably already figured this out!!!

    Very nice demo but please don't buy this product! I did and was very happy with the cooking results. I bought mine on 9/2/18 and used it 3 times the first week. I stored it in my closet in it's original box because I don't have cabinet space for it. Brought it out last week and cooked 2 pork roast, "for pulled pork" which came out great. That's a total of 5 times using it. Brought it out again this morning and rinsed the pot, to cook 2 more. I notice shiny spots in the bottom of the pot. On a closer look the coating was coming off in several places. I only used wooden or plastic made for coated pans to remove or stir anything I had in the cooker. Never stored anything in it either. I'm over my 60 day warranty so they can't do anything to help me. I have 7 more roast to cook for a Benefit, guess I'll do it the old fashion way "takes 24hrs" in a crock pot. Guess I'll keep it for canning. My suggestion is to buy one with a pot that's not coated!
