Power Platform Security: Granular Data Loss Prevention and Endpoint Restriction Policies

Ғылым және технология

#PowerPlatform #Security #DLP
Let's talk Power Platform Security. Keeping our data secure in the business solutions we build is so important. The Power Platform offers Data Loss Prevention Policies to help us protect our data. We can do things like limit what connectors (services) we can connect to in any given Power Platform solution. We can also completely block a certain connector so that we can't use it at all in our Power Platform solutions.
But what if you don't want to block an entire connector? Maybe you only want to block a specific action(s) inside of connector. For example, maybe you want to allow people to read Tweets from Twitter but you don't want them tweeting out personal identifiable information. Thanks to some new functionality that I'll highlight in this video, we can now restrict specific actions inside of a connector, rather than blocking the connector entirely.
I'll also show some new endpoint filtering capability that we can apply to our connectors which allow it. This is really useful for things like the HTTP connector where you might want to limit endpoints users can and cannot connect to.

This will be very useful to allow important action/endpoint instead of blocking whole connector.Very informative, Thanks April.

Dearest April you have just lit my heart ❤ I have been battling with a customers issue that had to with DLP restricting work flow until yesterday when I discovered there was a DLP. I completely did not know how to even turn that off. But now you have superbly shown me darling. Thank you 😊 💓

DLP is good 👍 but it’s even better if the restricted 🚫 actions are either grayed out or not visible.

Thanks for the video, April. Your previous one regarding connectors helped me understand how DLP functions a bit better. I did have a follow-up question after watching this one in regards to how granular you can get with DLP. Example scenario: - You have two business connectors for OneDrive and O365 mail configured in DLP policy - There is an existing flow to send an e-mail with attachment to a group/user when a file is created in a specific location within OneDrive Is there a way to prevent the flow from executing or blocking an accidental file containing PII that was dropped into previously mentioned OneDrive location? Thank you!
