Overview:
Power Apps Portals helps organizations scale their license to thousands of people by paying by capacity and not named users. It also allows you to extend Power Apps applications to partners, customers and large amounts of employees or students. In this session, Brian Knight will show you how to construct one from the ground-up. He’ll stand up a new Power App Portal, configure it and ultimately build forms and lists to show the necessary data to only those with rights.

    Hi Brian - Im kinda stuck at a place where I feel Im going on in a loop with no advancement. I have created my own set of entities and forms and views similar to yours but instead of Application and Mentor they are more for a Donor making a Donation. I have the model driven app work like a dream. I have created the portal and created a list to reference the Donor submissions made by users. When I select the permissions as "Global" option it works but the moment I change it to permissions as "Contact" so that only the authenticated in Contact can see their submissions if they have made one or several donations I continue to receive the message " There are no records to display". Please note that as you have called out, I have made sure about the authenticated roles being selected but it still doesnt work for me. I dont know what is causing this and how to proceed further.

    Awesome Session... Its a more informative and helpful session. I have one inquiry about detaverse that is it possible to link two tables in such way, that, if I set one column of table1, lookup with another table2 Primary Column, then some of the table1's other column pick up values from table2 that linked to its primary field row ..just like in vlookup in Excel.

  • @PragmaticWorks

    @PragmaticWorks

    Yes, you would essentially pass the key for the parent table through a URL string for example and apply it to a filter in the other child table.

    Thanks for sharing -- Q: I searched everywhere and found that no Power FX programming is permitted in Power Pages. Right? If Yes, this means that Canvas Apps are still more powerful (programmatically) to developers. Advise pls.
