Though it's rarely mentioned, I think Andi deserves a ton of credit for this reunion. It takes incredible self-confidence to share the spotlight with another singer that many fans have always considered as Helloween's "voice." Great interview.

That Ingo part in the Pumpkins United tour was so unexpectedly emotional, I would call it the biggest highlight in an event full of them. Also, don't you love it when you support people for decades and they never let you down? These guys do it right.

Andi rules and thanks for this! It would be really great to hear more from Andi about his music and his songs from the band... I think Andi really does capture the "black and the white" of Helloween and metal so well and he really doesn't get enough praise for his ability to do this in his writing and as a frontman but this was really interesting. Thanks a lot.

I have a Rock Hard magazine from those years with interviews from roland and weiki. Roland's was "The hell with them, we're through!" and Weiki's was "something happened, the band splited in two factions and I didn't want another chameleon situation so we parted ways"

Given the apparent closeness of Roland and Uli, maybe Uli defended what Roland did and since they'd already had Masterplan going, they were sent off together and they pursued Masterplan. But I have noticed that Uli is seldom mentioned at all in interviews regarding past members, and they've even played songs he's written since then too.

Even though michael weikath hated the dark ride and apologized for it, I don't think that's why roland and uli were let go. I do think through the hard times helloween went through, roland and uli were focused too much on their project band masterplan and what andi deris described roland betraying the band financially, He might have been stealing money from helloween to fund his project band. I don't know for sure if this is true or not, But it's just a strong theory that I have. If it is true I'd say shame on you roland and uli!

You not only have to be skeptical about the media etc., you have to be skeptical about yourself. I remember an interview with Kiske, where he told that there are people who had near death experiences and that is somehow prove of a god. Now, because he's christian he isn't skeptical about those statements anymore. But you have to. Is god really the only explanation why people have those experiences ? Does the things people experience really exist outside of their minds ? ....... And, what annoys me every time is the term "mainstream media". What is mainstream media ? The media that doesn't go along with your opinion ? Is it impossible that the 'mainstream media' is right ? What foundation does the "non mainstream media" have ? Why do you want to believe them more ? .... I really wish, that people doesn't talk that much about things, that are far to complicated to discuss on an amateurish roundtable. That's why we have flatearthers. Flatearthers are actually people, that don't know what they are talking about, but do it anyway.... Just shut up.
