    Details next level ❤ , hi mate, I have one question pls? I have Mto3 2019 , and just done ecu flash , can I go for full system exhaust with same ecu flash , or should I again tune for full exhaust system ? Appreciate for ur video . Thanks

    Does the bike have a stock exhaust right now?

    I was gonna put a PC3 on my 03 R1 so I can take off the exup and make it a full system, bikes already fast enough I just wanted to get the fueling right lol

    Older bikes like that are not always capable of an ecu flash. A power commander is likely your only option.

    Buy a Power Commamdsr 5, do so.e.research for a Servo Buddy to eliminate the servo motor in a way the ECU won't throw codes.. use the PCV to use the bike..good to go

    That's a good video. Mine is with the full system Akra and was thinking of PCV. Does this fix the low rpm stuttering issue? Also, have tried the CO settings under the diag mode? What do they really do? I tried +2 increments on all four COs n then checked the plugs after some runs and they become rich. So what's the actual purpose?

    The power commander does not fix the low rpm stumbling of the Crossplane engine. I feel like that’s more an operating characteristic of the engine design that can not be changed very easily. The power commander can only add or subtract fuel in attempts to optimize stoich air fuel ratios and add more fuel under load because these bikes do run slightly lean from factory. If you don’t already have a power commander I would spend that money towards an actual ecu flash. Check out “moore mafia” on KZread. He is big in the tunning world on sport bikes. Huge gains with his tuning ( 30+hp in some cases ). I plan on tuning my bike with him in the future.

    To the creator of this video..your correct..you can change exhaust. No issues..but your bike will run more lean..WHO CARES... ANYONE who has cha ges exhaust knows..when you do that you lose something and gain somwthing..with a proper tune..you will gain everywhwrre..no sluggish spots or popping after altering your exhaust..dude who mafw the video..bro.. tune your bike..an engine is an air pump..your now flowing more air..complimemt it with proper fuwl ratio..you will have better throtype response..power delivery and truwly notice why you spent all.that money on exhaust..YOUR MISSING OUT...ECU flash is not teh way to go..dyno tune for your vehicle with FACTUAL DATA

    my gsxr 750 l4 already has a pc5 that the previous owner installed along arrow slip-on + k&n air filter (i.e cat is still on). However Im tempting to either decating or getting a full (race) exhaust since my bike sounds like a sewing machine to me. Question: do i need to remap for either of these modifications? Mostly concerned about engine longevity (30k km / 18.6k miles). Cheers

    Yes if you go full exhaust or decat pipe load in a new tune with your pc5. It will add a little bit more fuel.

    @@JT2JZ Copy. And from what i understood from your vid, just browse dynojet and choose whatever tune corresponds closest to the exhaust brand? Any thoughts on amazons headers (steel 304) + mid pipe and arrow slipon (already have the slipon)?

  • @JT2JZ

    Correct. Nothing wrong with an Amazon mid pipe. I have one on my R1. If it was me I would likely run the stock header. You actually don’t gain very much performance from a header for the price. Usually only 1-2hp believe it or not.

    hey bro, quick question... do you have issues starting the bike when temp is super low?

  • @JT2JZ

    @JT2JZ

    Жыл бұрын

    Yes these engines are notoriously hard to start cold. After replacing my starter the bike has been WAY better though. I had a weak starter for a very long time and didn’t know it was causing the majority of my starting issues. I do have a starter replacement video on my channel. If you check it out you can see how black / burnt up my old starter was

    Which baseline map are you using for your R1?

  • @JT2JZ

    @JT2JZ

    I’m using the map for two brothers slip ons with cat delete and k&n filter. I have tried other maps for full exhaust systems and didn’t notice any difference to be honest

    Thanks for your help. I have a Graves 3/4 system with CAT delete pipe. I was confused between map 002 which is for M2 Exhaust with Cat Delete and 007 for Graves full system. As you said fuel numbers are higher for the full exhaust but I wasn’t sure how much difference 5% extra fuel at a given rpm makes. At the end of the day, it’s probably better to run richer than leaner

  • @JT2JZ

    @JT2JZ

    Жыл бұрын

    Richer is always safer you are correct, but you will not make any more power with that extra fuel. If you only have a 3/4 system I would stick with just the cat delete with slip on exhaust tune and not the full system. The bike will run fine with either tune but the extra 5% fueling with the full system tune will just be waisted fuel at the end of the day.

    5% is not mich added fuel, keep.in mind..fuwl.is also a coolant to the engine..fuel can also be added in the fuel table to help combat decel popping that can occur dur to deleting the cat, shortening the exhaust..

    I have an 06 R1. I don’t want more power, I do want to hit the cat though and I am running TB slip-ons. Everyone screams that it is going to be too lean. Do you think there is any concern with doing this without a ecu flash or PC on the R1?

  • @JT2JZ

    Personally I’ve ran many bikes with exhaust systems / intakes and no power commander or tune. These bikes run O2 sensors that the factory ecu watches. The ecu has the ability to adjust fuel trims automatically. Will the bike be a touch on the lean side? Yes probably! But from my experience it’s likely not as lean as everyone likes to think. These bikes always run lean even from factory with stock exhaust and intakes. I’ve never had any issues long term.
