We are so happy with the configuration and liveability on the boat. We feel lazy and spoilt but on a overnight crossing we just did it was soooo safe and comfortable it was incredible.

@@CruisingSunrise just curious about how the whole window system works: if water gets in the frame when the window is down and where that goes. It’s very unique to have this set up. Also curious to hear what it sounds like in the salon when the engines are running. Overall, seems very quiet. Lastly, wasn’t sure if you showed where you keep spare parts like filters. Is there a dedicated space for that?

@@barryholiday8998 The windows are like a car door. The glass does not go though th floor only the actuators which are sealed, there is a water catcher at the bottom that drains to the transom steps. Engine noise inside the saloon under way is between 60 and 70 decibels and almost no vibration . the spares can go on shelves in the engine rooms or on 1 off the 4 shelves that go all the way round the foward lockers. These are huge and could easily be a crew cabin.

I am so impressed with Sunrise, she's her own floating little city. What are your crushing plans long term and for 2024? Russ, is there a way you could attach a hose to the bottom of that fish cleaning drain and have it empty directly off the boat? Happy New Year guys

We are going to cruise around South East Asia and then see about heading to Japan. i do have a pipe that goes straight over board but its a bit of a long way and with the size of the fish i catch the big scales may get blocked, haha

Beautiful yacht. Let us know the good and the bad. I think you mentioned in a previous video a desire to go to Alaska and work your way down to the states. I would make sure that it is done in the warmer time of the year. The non-insulated PEC tubing water lines will freeze.

Will do , i have been talking to the boat builder about a couple off very small tweaks. We will definently be only going to Alaska in summer.

Any chance of a modelled-up 3D, of a Med, Caribbean style cat with an open flybridge 40/48ft range?

I for one would be very concerned about shark bite styled couplings and "T"s and all the plastic piping. Doesn't seem very survivable in a casualty event. Plastic fuel lines, oil lines etc. will melt and it's "FLAME ON" full on Bravo casualty.

disagree, shes most likely running diesel, and its far better to carry a box of plastic fittings and some poly pipe to replace any cracks etc than carrying brass and copper piping etc. i dont think they are shark type usa fittings they look to be screw down pressure fittings which are far superior to the shark style.

Interesting that theres no rubber mats under the genny. I always chuck a bit of the old conveyor belt rubber mattong under my gennys to reduce some of the vibration transfer etc. Maybe that ones good enough to not need it, but mate, shes a full on ship, not some yacht.
