In Power Book 2 Ghost Season 4 Episode 4, we saw a very intense hunt for Dru and Diana with all of those who were involved from Tariq St Patrick, Monet and Cane who were on the hunt. On Dru and Diana's side as they were on the run, mistakes led to them being caught and also others falling victim, again at the hands of Tariq in Ghost Season 4 Episode 4 (Salim). However, in Power Book 2 Ghost we can always expect a small twist and Janet knowing and revealing that Diana was pregnant was unexpected, but changed Monet's perception with how she wanted to move forward in Power Book 2 Ghost Season 4 as she chose to forgive rather than seek revenge. This led her to coming face to face with Tariq St Patrick at the end of Ghost Episode 4, and where it was revealed, he is the father. However, I run through all the major talking points from Power Ghost Episode 4 in this breakdown, along with a theory or two in terms of what we can expect going forward from all the major plot points, including Detective Carter being dirty! And how he could soon gain control over the entire chess board in Power Book 2 Ghost Season 4.

@@erikrose1316hell no 😂, anya and tariq’ll never work, he’s just using her to get to noma. im banking on effie being his endgame, even tho she ‘backstabbed’ him multiple times when really the only meaningful betrayal was when she almost killed him at the end of season 3, she’s the only one who knows tariq for who he really is and she’s the only one that can match him perfectly. diana, no because she’s a tejada and she’s most likely gonna die by the end of part 2. lauren, never was. she has no stake in the game. effie, the perfect match. she’s tariq in female form. she’ll do whatever and say whatever to survive, just like him but eh 🤷🏾♂️

1. There’s more to pinky’s character than we’re looking at. I observed how camera panned to the backseat of his car while he was watching Diana. Something to keep an eye. 2. I’ve been saying from the very start, Detective Don carter is definitely a major player in the drug trade. The way in which he sonned Kamal tate just confirms it for me. Kamal is on the clock, the more he keeps putting the pieces together. 3. Two words tariq needs to utilize next episode: PATERNITY TEST.

I can’t even remember where to re-hooked up with Pinky but definitely there’s something more going on there. I think Carter has a lot going on in the background as well, but I think it’s more than just a drug connection and also more than just pause that has him going so hard at Tariq. With the whole pregnancy thing, I don’t know where I land with that because on one hand, it can help wreak out a lot, but on the other hand, I still think him and Effie are going to be together in the end and considering that that was the only thing that got him to lower his gun reallyand Monet saying that it was his and not Diana definitely makes me lean towards the idea that it’s Salim’s baby and also now that I think about it that might be what makes Diana have to make it a decision about being like her mother lying to a man about being the father of her child

This is an everyday real life type of thing though. Fact is while this depiction is extreme plenty of people are pretending around us everyday. Whether it’s the leased car or the home they rent and barely afford to buy groceries to put in the fridge it’s a reality that plagues all of mankind. Mix that in with getting caught up with the wrong entanglements…. Well it’s just the way things go.

Did anyone catch when Tariq was walking into the underground party, a person shouted to their friend ‘James’ very loud. And Tariq looked at them. Clearly they wanted some focus on that. Remember how the mid-season finale for season 6 of power was ghost getting shot after telling everybody “nothing is gonna stop me” now Tariq is telling everybody nothing can kill me. I agree. I’m willing to bet his wife dying in a crossfire between rival gangs was partially his fault too. The way he was talking to Tate who was just tryna do good cop work was very suspect.
Carter is looking like Ghosts bro; he was always the loving younger brother until he got fed up with all the tragedies. Put in the middle of two parents, to working in law enforcement and losing his loved ones. Carter became the big bad to deter all the bloodshed. Aka Carters story line is most likely the basis of Origins. He learns the game after Ghost disappears for killing his snitch father. Which is Carters pops too. Also why only Uncle Gabe came to his funeral. Can’t wait for Ghost lore at the end of this season
Looks like Tariq won’t be able to get revenge on the Tejadas after all he’ll just have to watch them kill each other

They’ll definitely take each other out. Diana gonna be the first to go. Don’t know who will do it though. I feel like Cane will be the last one standing. Diana and/or Dru will die, Monet or Cane will get locked up. My money is on Monet going to prison, Dru and Diana dying, and Cane being the only one left.

I was thinking about that cop Detective Carter. What if Carter is a drug kingpin who’s wife never died and is also in the game as well but she’s hidden someplace safe until the right time to reveal her. What if he is out to get every drug dealer out of the way so he could take it over? It wouldn’t surprise me at all if this was the way they went at the end.
Detective Carter's obsession with Tejada and Tariq will ultimately lead to his downfall, just as it did for the previous AUSAs who shared the same fixation. In contrast, Detective Tate's strategy of eliminating all external factors would have been more effective.

@@ImNotNotAllCityChi I think we might get an answer to whether it’s his or not next episode because based on Tariq’s response to Diana telling him that she’s pregnant he’s not completely convinced and based on the trailer for episode he’s still upset with her and might question whether he’s the father or not but he does think it’s a possibility so he let her live or it actually is his baby and the possibility of it being salims baby is never addressed and it’s just chalked up as bad writing

I’m an author as well and as far as the writing on the show goes, they stay true to what the character knows in universe and also the personality traits that they set up for that character early on. A big thing to key on was Monae said it was his kid. Diana said she was pregnant. The other thing to keep in mind is it works in Tariq’s benefit to go with it.
