this station represented south fla so well throught the 80s and 90s... Was always a treat to visit fam back then and throw on the radio and listen in

Smokin Mix, Jammin Johhny's mixes always had good hi energy songs, with little base/hip hop, because he did midday mixes when the somewhat older crowd would listen in.

You're so right it was like freestyle, house was the bread and butter but they did like a couple of ballads & disco songs every hour, and an occasional rock song like the Scorpions or Guns n Roses once in a long while, and of course more base mixed in with the house and Miami/New York freestlye at night. But yeah very few dance or top 40's played the pure ballads Power did every hour. There was nothing close to Power around the country, only New York & Chicago came somewhat close in variety. I have some regular programing and mixes of Power, just wish I knew how to get it on KZread. Anyway, enjoy memory lane with this mix!

What a good radio, greetings from Colombia I do not know how I listened to it but I heard that signal coming to Colombia I did not know where I was until recently that I could by the magic of the internet find out. Power 96 THE BEST saludos desde colombia no se como escuchaba esta radio en colombia tan lejos de miami pero la escuchaba hasta ahora por la magia del internet pude averiguar de dónde era solo entraba la señal en las noches y una de brasil y venezuela mi radio era una sony 2 bandas todavia la tengo
