Don’t be fooled stocks are not the economy, I had 250k put aside waiting for the fed to stop raising rates. Now I want to get back into the markets, but the hike might continue and stocks will still climb, I’m confused on how to strategise and happy to discuss.

I agree It’s always good to have a balanced fin-plan. I work with a professional planner multi mrkt and fixed-income strategist in NY. the fixed income portion of your portfolio won’t simply serve as a buffer to the volatility of the equity portion of your portfolio, but will provide legitimate income.

I think it's important to stick to stocks that are immune to economic policies. AI stocks that have the potential to power and transform future technologies. It seems AI is the trajectory most companies are taking, including even established FAANG companies. Maybe there are other recommendations?

The S&P 500, if one sticks with it, outpaces inflation by many percentage points. I personally don't care about the inflation. I just want my money to keep outgrowing the inflation rate. That is why I'm looking for companies now to put in $80k for a start.

You got valid points though Inflation is dilapidating. Quite sad what's happening in the market. Although, even the worst recessions offer wonderful buying opportunities in the markets if you're cautious. Volatility can also result in excellent short-term buy and sell opportunities. The market circumstances are driving me insane, my portfolio has lost almost $13K this month alone, my earnings are tanking. I'd appreciate some financial advice from anyone who knows more going forward.

There are good days and bad days. It's a zero-sum game, but keep this advice in mind: spend wisely, invest wisely, and diversify your holdings so that when one performs poorly, the others do as well. This can be accomplished by hiring a knowledgeable specialist whose platform provides a wide range of investment options. By doing so, you leave little room for regrets and may even gain more.

People do downplay the importance of expert counsellors up until they experience the consequences of their errors. I wanted to stay afloat between the COVID outbreak and my early 2020 layoff, so I started looking for license advisors. My previously stagnant $325K reserve has so far created significant returns from subsequent investments owing to expert leadership by my FA, who can be found online. I was fortunate to come across someone with her level of practical knowledge and years of experience.

A 7 figure investor 1985 - 2000, 8 figure since 2000 and have learned that new tech... today it's AI..... is going nowhere but up for the next 20 years no matter what. I only needed 6 stocks and today that's all anyone needs to have an 8 figure investment balance in 10-20 years. Buy more of the same month after month. None of the top AI companies (6 of them) will flop. Just keep buying them, holding them. No top AI stock is over bought. Luck comes with 'Time-In-The-Market'. I would argue that rate cuts are typically a response to a crashing economy and used to spur growth. By the time anyone can officially declare a recession, chances are the recession has long since begun. That being said, as the pundits get excited about the stock market etc., I grow more and more concerned that the crash is getting close.

Last lady is right. Cutting rates help with interest payments but devalues the dollar and could lead to liquidity exodus (though Canada and EU lowered rates slightly ahead of the U.S. will make that exodus look less bad). Brace for stagflation folks!

These guys are trained to speak only positive so you keep putting money into your 401ks and ira's. The market has been trying to play FED and call the shots all because powell blinked during the pandemic now the market knows powells main worry is keeping the market a float with printing money aka bailouts. Guaranteed money lets the computers keep buying.
