Powell Dragon 93a Wheels (ROUGH TERRAIN) WORRY NO MORE!
Ойын-сауық
Slow speed no more with these Powell Dragon 93a's on my board especially on rough dirty asphalt! I had some Jeff Grosso Spitfire Wheels and hard as hell, but they wouldn't get me enough speed on the rough asphalt to get over the coping. After getting these Powell Dragon 93a's I can get the speed I need and they are really quiet.

so rad! Also if you have your son turn his shoulders before he turns his feet on the ramp he will get the kick turn everytime. Always gotta lead with your upper body and your feet will follow! Keep killing it dudes!

Great vid, the wheels seem like they're worth a a try. I just got back into skating at the age of 35 lol. It feels good to be back skating and getting tricks back and learning new things. Keep rocking 👍

@@Slane18Productions bones just made another soft street wheel the X-formula 95a. the oj nomads are pretty good and the 97a formula fours are great but they stopped making them so there getting scarce do not get ricta clouds they are awful not even urethane they are literally plastic makes your board sound like it's from Walmart

I'm 40 btw just started back after a 20 year break it's so nice not having numb tingly feet I just put the dragons and bones bushings on the difference is mind blowing especially being 5'8" 230 stock bushings just don't cut it

@@thevernonposse The X-Formulas are 97A. As far as I know they didn't release the 95A ones. Weird how Spitfire stopped making the 97A ones. I have some 58mm Conical Fulls 97A and they are good. It's a shame if they stopped making them.
This gets me so pumped to skate.

I just tested mine. I have two pair, the classic shape dragons and I have the conical shape dragons. First I will describe the classic shape dragons 54mm. What I previously have been riding are the spitfire 97A classic shape 54mm for my comparison. I skated three different surfaces from smooth to rough, then actually crusty. I did power slides, reverts, and very fast pushing to see how they hold my speed for street skating. On a scale from 1 to 10, the spitfire 97A felt about a 1-2 point difference from the Dragons in 4 different ways. It felt a 2 point out of 10 difference in speed. the Spitfire 97A classic shape was faster than the classic shape dragon on all surfaces. It felt one point difference in vibrations, the dragons translating less vibrations, but just by one point on the roughest surfaces. The slide ability of the dragons in classic shape was about 2 points less slick than the spitfire 97A classic shape on all surfaces. And lastly the sound was about 1 point louder for the spitfires vs the quieter dragons. Now I will describe the conical shaped dragons in 56mm. The 56mm dragons were about 2 points different in speed from the spitfire classics 97A, the spitfires being faster = less need for pushing. Slide Ability felt 1 point less slippery compared to the spitfires. Vibrations were about 2 points softer on the dragons vs the spitfires. And lastly, the sound was even less at 2 points quieter for the dragons vs the louder spitfires while riding, HOWEVER they were louder when sliding about 3 points vs the spitfires. Over all, this was on a scale from 1 - 10 and so these differences were small. The best thing I could do from here is to get the spitfire 97A in conical shape to see who the true all terrain winner is. Since the spitfire 97A classic did so well against both the dragons (only a 1-2 point difference in softness feel), I am going to assume the spitfire 97A conical will make up for the vibrations difference and retain the speed.

nice skating bros are u wearing accel OG shoes? how are they? i never skated a pair in my life since skating early 2000s but i have tried 2 pairs of accel slims and liked them but the structure is a little thin for me but the suede and grip are good. i love skating nike sb dunks which is more structured and better protection and i only skate cupsole skate shoes. i see quite a few vids with these wheels now. i have bones reds 52mm the best and they have done me good and i like them. ive never tried spitfire or powell tho. nice vid btw.

The shoes are the new Tom Penny Es's signature shoe. I was skating Globes for a while but they seemed to be so hard to get in and out of, but I did like them. Yeah man my driveway is so dang rough I wasn't getting enough speed to get over the coping but with the Powell Dragon 93a's I got the results I was hoping for.

@@Slane18Productions sick tom penny is dope. ive had one pair of globes years ago chet thomas ones and they were bulky. i have skated similar to accel OG which are the Emerica Tilts and i skated many pairs of them when i started skating and as u should know Es and Emerica and Etnies are under Soletec. i wish i had my own drive way and ramps and a rail would be nice but unfortunately i have to travel far to go to sick skateparks and im 36 years old and skate on my own.
