Powder Coating Oven DIY Build (How To Make)
Ойын-сауық
DIY powder coating oven build from an old electric oven and an office cabinet. I built this Powder Coating Oven and it has proved to be a valuable asset in my restorations. Hope you enjoy the build.
My Powder Coating equipment comes from Electrostatic Magic and is their Easy Coat System.

Thank ya kindly ✌️
This is how people really do become successful. Educating themselves, grafting and ultimately providing something that most other people cannot. Very nice.
2 years later and this has been extremely helpful! Thanks for the upload and absolutely amazing restorations.

wow this guy is intelligent. i was here to find a solution to recoat the inside of my oven and this guy just build one almost from scratch
That oven has worked a treat.
The powder coating ones are my favourite. The ovens great. Given me an idea for a perspex oven that I need.
Good lord, those restored pieces are beautiful! Fantastic build brother! Thanks for making this video! 😎👍🏼

Wow you do some amazing work and the oven what a great idea 👍
That took a lot of time and effort its enough to want to replace old stove heater and make a new large cabin heater for powder paints!! Great job 🍻🤟👍
BIG THUMBS UP MARTIN
Excellent stuff now I'm going to do the same
Blast from the past Martin.You have also had a transformation since then lol.Stay safe.

Exceptional! Great video
nice work man looks great
Great job!!
Well done !! It's on now baby,let the component collecting begin 👈😎👍
Unbelievable 👍🏻
Cracking job as always Martin, great to have a review combined like this. As I mentioned before you inspired me to get my older version of the same PC system back up and running as I had been hampered by the size restriction of the domestic over, then took on redoing a conversion of a office cabinet and then powder coated load of items for the kit car rebuild. Presently sand blasting some bench ends that will get powder coated with some colour from electrostatic magic for a work mate, keep up the great work you 2.

This is brilliant. Can you please make one about your powder coating booth buddy?
Nice
I would have clear-coated those antique pieces to seal in that nice patina :).
Why it feels like i am going to heaven??😅
Great job 👍 is that a small extractor on the spray section you have there
Nice job. What's the total volume inside, the wattage, and the time to temperature? What's the skin temperature where it's insulated?
Inspiring, this is my dream hobby ones retire, I can't wait to set me up for this. Anyone knows where to get powder coating i Europe? I'm in US now and it's easy here, but moving back to Europe
Mate ! Thanks for the explanations and for sharing your set up. Im following your Ideas, and trying to make the same... why haven't you used the 3 glasses from the oven you have used ?
@RetroHax
2 жыл бұрын
It was my first build, I would probably make modifications if I did it again.
And also I am using used materials...does it make a big difference if I use both rockwool and glasswool ?
do you sandblast?
I'd love to see how the glue on all that tape is going to withstand 350 to 500 degrees for any length of time...

It holds up well and its not affected after 2 years+
Martin this might sound a silly question but how did you manage to get the grill element and the oven element to work at the same time? Your video and ideas are absolutely brilliant mate keep it up
@RetroHax
2 жыл бұрын
This cooker had a dual oven/grill I think and no extra wiring was needed. It all worked off the original controls.
This is a awsome vid👍 just 1 question tho. How does the oven no when its up to temp? Was the a thermostat that came with the oven?
@RetroHax
2 жыл бұрын
Yes it is bud but I also keep a check on it and when its up to temp, I lower the control.
Strange feeling of DEJA VU.
What tape you used inside the oven?
@RetroHax
2 жыл бұрын
It's aluminium duct jointing tape.
How did you do the preparation? 🤔👍

Great video I have just subscribed, I'm a fabricator and manufacture things and sell on Ebay, Amazon, Etsy etc. Not sure if making an oven will save me any money. Is the running costs high? How long does it take in the oven? Who supplies the powder?
@RetroHax
3 жыл бұрын
10 minutes on average, Don't really notice the running costs as its a hobby. Powder suppliers is in the video description.
That music... did you also discover an alien signal?

Were you able to remove and reinstall the Amersham decal, find a duplicate, or mask it off? Wouldn't have thought it would survive the heat.
