Widowmaker is absolutely an S tier hero right now.. The question is.. Should she be nerfed? How do you feel about Widowmaker in Overwatch 2

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Widow should be nerfed. If the enemy team goes widow, and the DPS on your team get diffed, the game is over. Genji is *idealistically* a good alternative to challenging widow, however, with his nerf he does less damage with the requirement of displacing himself from his team, diving the enemy backline and hoping to the heavens above that the Widow's supports don't peel for her/widow killing the genji herself (and with the new Kiriko meta, this isn't the most realistic outcome). With one tank, there is little possibility that leaving your frontline open to dive the widow means winning the team fight. Good positioning on Widow -given high elo- allows for crazy positions where Dva's fly and winston's jump don't fill the distance, even then, the rest of your team is vulnerable to the enemy hog, orisa, etc etc. PLUS the rest of the team. IMO there shouldn't be one shot hitscans in the game at all, but that's another argument.

Anyway, how do we nerf widow? I don't know, I don't get paid nor do I have the knowledge to adequately rationalize a fair nerf. I just know that she SHOULD get nerfed, she's poison to the game and so is Sojourn. I'm really tired of going against Sojourn/Widow tbh. I'd go against a pharah mercy/double junkrat and play 1000 hours worth of 2CP just so my fellow brethren who play OW can see a nerfed widow.

Widow is stronger in ow2 because less shields tank has to choose either the widow or supports and genji is bad. Right now sojourn is the obvious choice however once she gets nerfed I predict hanzo widow becomes meta because orisa and rammatra will be strong.

In my opinion, widow needs no nerfs at all. She gets hard countered by echo, genji, any shield tank, ulted mercy, lucio, and sometimes tracer

I think she’s perfect the way she is bc you have to actually have good aim. What would you nerf is the real question. Her ult is sub, her poison isn’t too good, her grappler is nothing compared to other characters movement, her only redeeming factor is headshots. If you nerf her headshots, she’s a completely useless character

@@Dan67Far2 genji tracer require more skill and they got nerfed because there's no cc. Widow who is now completely uncontested with no shields and no 2nd tank got a buff to 200hp. It doesn't make sense.
