Every position is hard in their own. Keepers have to save the shoots. Defenders have to not make the player shoot of to pass. Strikers have to score goals and maybe put some assist's. Midfielders have to be the core of the squad, both attacking and defending, maybe scoring goals and surely putting some assist's.

As a goalkeeper I hate peoples that are like that, to BE a goalkeeper you have to have good reaction, reflex, position, strong foot and you have to talk loudly. And I think that goalkeeping are the most underrated and the least talked about in football. And this vid made me quite happy.

I’m a defender, I once said this to my keeper when shot’s were going straight to his hands , so I played keeper for the year. I did well, but realized how hard keeper actually is. I never blame them for a goal scored on them anymore

this happend today at my school i was goalkeeping. one guy came and said "goalkeeping is easy you just have to stand and do nothing".next match bro went goakeeping and conceded 6 goals 3 nutmegs.

You know what happent in my School the First sayed 2 Guys in my grade are better than me in goals the First Guy conced 9 goals from the same side in one Match than the 2 one my classmates say he is better but he is allways Just in one postion in goals the one 2 legs down and Hands but still when i Play like prime yashin the say the is better but the did't even dive and in the last game the almost he allmost conced a penlty with a nutmeg

Omg this is sooooo relatable so the coaches would just be explaining a drill where I’M in goal (I’m the main gk btw) and then there would always be that one person who would be like PLEASE CAN I GO IN GOAL the whole time to the coaches but then near the end of training we’d do a little match and they would get put in goal for their team and immediately they take all of it back 😂

Its even scarier when they send a ball flying at u at 150kmh

As a former keeper, i can tell you that keeping is hard to learn but the main thing is to not be scared of the ball and keep trying.In a few months or years you can get decent at it.

As a young keeper I get this all the time. Safe to say them gloves ended up back on my hands 🥅🧤

I used to play keep until I got hit in the neck by a soccer ball and couldn’t breathe for like a good 30 seconds. It didn’t feel like 30 sec but it was. I now play winger but I will never go into goal ever again

As Former high school football goalkeeper i say this " factors that contribute to a good goal keeper is be fit, fast eyes and movement reaction, positioning, good grip, and most important is you need to be brave to dive and get hit to catch the ball"

don't forget about the fact that as a GK you have to throw your own body to either catch or deflect a ball flying very fast, hopefully catch it for your team, and have the reflexes to jump at the correct time Respect your goalie 👍

I he can't save A shot straight at him then he's bad unless it's A powershot then I kinda agree but one time I wanted to be Main gk For the First half then Swap to St but he said LEAVE the best for last so I decided to play striker He conceded 2 goals But thankfully I scored 4 goals

Goalkeeping is 100% the hardest position, played once as a substitute since our keeper couldn’t make it, I’m never playing goalkeeper again, terrible experience and conceded 4 goals. Luckily we managed to draw it up

As a goalkeeper, I agree that some guys underestimate goalkeeping

I used to play as gk , then became a cb then a cm . Basically defending is same as g.k but you can't use your hands . Cm close to cb but you cut passing lanes in the middle (6v6 matches) and since it is 6v6 cm is also cdm and cam so you defend and attack and deliver passes and crosses

I always say you have to be at least a little crazy to be a keeper😅. At least every one I've played with has been😂

I agree that this is possibly the hardest and most important position. But idk what happened, I'm a forward so i have to be bad at goalkeeping, but the opposite happened, i started saving shots like crazy, i was "afilado" as we call it here. I even saved a shot like Neuer's firm hand against Cristiano from the guy who plays professionally (my hand hurt afterwards though)

Reminds me of a situation I had years ago: One of my teammates always told me how shit I was in goal and that he could do it better and blah. In one compeditive match then I got a red card like 20min into the game and we didn't have a reserve keeper, so this dude went in goal. I could see from the stands how much he hated these 70min he had to play as a gk

This so true when my friend says he’s better than me in goalkeeping I just gave him the gloves and asked him to change the end of the match conceded 6 goals in one half (our half is only 22.5 mins)

It's a hard job, and some shots simply can't be saved. My best performance was a 3-0 loss where I made 15 or so saves. If your opponent can take that many shots on target, it says more about the defenders than the keeper.
