Good luck with that. Never worked for me. I was convinced I had a saddle under the tree once. The big box turned out to be a huge hair dryer from my mum, who was trying again to change me into a girlie girl. Worst Christmas disappointment of my twelve year old life.

I asked for a horse every year for both Christmas and my birthday. Never got one. My parents were sure it was just a phase and I'd outgrow it. I had to wait until I was in my 40s to get one. My horses were the only thing that kept me going for a few years. I didn't have time to ride, first from taking care of my elderly father, and then from having a terminally ill husband. I just started riding again a few months ago, but haven't been on since before Thanksgiving. I was in the hospital for almost a week, first due to a TIA, then the virus. Found out I need surgery. I haven't been up to riding. 😢

@@jam901 thanks. I see the doctor tomorrow. I'm going to ask him about my lack of energy. I have so much to do and not enough energy to do it.

@@dizzysdoings let's hope they'll have some helpful advice for you!! I too am very low energy these days Seasonal depression has been hitting hard But there's always a brighter day waiting in the future :))

@@jam901 thanks. I don't know if it's due to the meds I'm on, or a lingering affect of the virus. I felt really good on Wednesday and wanted to go riding. Instead I was stuck at the dentist.

@@dizzysdoings oh it sucks so much when you finally feel inspired to do something but you're busy😭 It happens way too often Anyways You got this, i know I'm just a random person on your screen but i believe in you :)) You'll get through the tough times and look back with a smile

Every young girl or teenager who is horse mad is convinced there going to get a pony for Christmas. I was lucky enough to get my 1st pony for my 14th birthday 😅

Knew a family that got the kids a pony for Christmas. Tied it to the Christmas tree in the middle of the night. Christmas Day started with the spooked pony dragging the tree around the kitchen and down the hallway.
