total beast of an engine in these. love it in my GLS550.

High miles for an M278 engine; the vibration could be misfires on a couple cylinders as for bore cylinder scoring is common on these if they were maintained with oil change intervals every 10k miles. Really should be every 5k-7k miles depending on drive style.

It's a shame to see these nice luxury cars start to enter the phase of people not loving them so much anymore. That used to someone's pride and joy and now it looks like it gets run hard and put away wet lol

Would u say the last 2008 Mercedes e550 was smoother or felt better or this one. I’m torn between the 2.

It’s all about the motor mounts both models chew through motor mounts. I learned how to change that myself because it’s such a common issue.

Yessssss and the 550 cabriolet. I need to do a KZread video but there’s a 2016 E350 with 94,000 miles that is there with a pristine interior and actually very good service history on the Carfax but the driver side made contact with a guard rail at some point …the damage is slight but it’s affects every single panel on the driver side plus it got the driver side adaptive headlight., it went to 6400 last week and they would not sell it. They’re trying to get 10,000 which is ridiculous. I may try and buy it if I can get it around six. I will replace the headlight and just drive it like it is for a while because of the damage is not really significant.
