Legit POV rides and captures. Hard to make skim footage look good, but you definitely did it. Nice slides and rides around those rocks. You gotta check out the southern Oregon spot sometime in summer, which sets up very similar to this.

Crystal clear waters. Nice size fish leap in the background at 4:15. Blair trying some weird ice skating one footed something at 8:14? Has any designed a stepped board bottom to allow more air under it creating less drag? Look up stepped hull design for boats to see what I mean. Might be an innovation to skimboards. Or not.

Impressive! Why is it that you are only able to retain your speed when the front of the board is parallel with the shoreline and the center of gravity is low by bending the knees? Is it similar to conservation of angular momentum (e.g. when you’re spinning in a chair with your arms out, you spin faster just by pulling them in)? My skimboarding just can’t get to the next level because I always sink when I get a few feet into the water 😢

I've never gone skimboarding, so why do they enter the water with the board facing forward, then turn it sideways until they reach a wave?

can we do that same trick with a wooden board or only with this types of boards ? could someone help me please

  • @baileyoliviagaming8692

You definitely can, the only reason they don't use them is because wooden boards are typically flimsier and they hurt more if you catch the side of one to your shins.
