thats the way some of the sessions of my year have been like these, meeting new friends hyped on heavy shallow barrels good vibes no egos and just sending

As someone who grew up and still surf here (YEAH LAYCOCK) haha You guys take off so deep, it blows my mind.. Literally no one else does, you guys not knowing the spot or how shallow low is, just destroy the Island!

I've seen surfers take off a fair way round, as it wraps and builds coming around the island before going full slab. Hard to tell where these guys were taking off though. Haven't been to cronulla for near 15 years.

Nathan that's the most amazing sesh , not only the surfing 🌊, as much as the interaction and camaraderie, this is the energy of surfing, great times , great locals and Zero egocentric judges trying to tell you "How to surf" kudos man we salute you from Florida.🤙

Bra nate my aussie friend actually shot couple stills of u at shark island that got re-posted by stab and went viral. He was stoked! Everywhere u go i hear positive stories from locals rather than the usual when pros blow into town! Proud of you nate! Awesome ambassador for hawaiian surfers!

You got the Island on a good day which probably happens two or three times a year. It’s an awesome break when it’s on. Definitely the best slab in the Sydney region. So nice to see the old neighbourhood unchanged. Chilled crowd. Plenty of waves to go around. Everyone getting barrels. That’s Sydney dude. Finish up and go for a hot pie and chocolate milk.

Of all the waves Nathan has surfed in the world, I still love how stoke he gets - he still has the bug!

Love seeing the water full of warriors hunting sharing charging vibing excellent stuff .. the whole universe as a backdrop bro God i miss the ocean..

Wow. Another intrepid take on such a sick slab going OFF! Everything is sketchy, from the water entry and exit, the shallow sucking slab and the mutant wave with random steps within the tube. How you made some of them, and gave us the pov to prove it is mindblowing. You’re officially in bodyboarding territory, but sending it so hard and paying so much respect, that your vids always have those magic Nate, goofy, psycho, loveable puppy vibes that make locals wherever you go welcome you with open arms. How times have changed...growing up as a surfing grom in the early 80s on the KZN south coast ( between Durban and Jeffrey's Bay ) all we had back then was a Minolta Weathermatic water proof camera..and then the agonising wait for the film to get developed lol...but the utter Stoke and jubilation is still the same tho..Nice to see😂

Grew up at cronulla surfed the island here when it was on have plenty of scars on my knees and feet and torn wetsuits getting keelhauled over it but to tame a few big ones out there was worth it nice one Nathan😅
