We have the same car too right now. The insurance finally gave us a rental car (Chevy Impala). We like it too. My dad had a choice between the Jeep Renegade, Chevy Trax or Chevy Impala. My dad choose the Chevy Impala. Best choice!

The transmissions on the impala are tall geared for fuel economy. Car is slow off the line but I find the passing power to be awesome

depends if you just have the 4 cylinder. The V6 gets up and goes. I have a V6 impala 3.6L.

Why do you think the flip-out key is stupid? What happens if the push button doesn't work, or the remote goes flat?

Every push button start car has a key on the key fob it's just hidden and this that impala is easier to get the key if you need it

Yeah that happened to me once the battery went flat and I literally had to break open my own car door just to get back in GM is clearly the only group thinking of this

Push buttom start and the switch blade key is kinda smart just incase the push start working and need repaired you should still be able to start the car and drive daily

  • @dave11686
    @dave116866 жыл бұрын

The reason they give you the blade is so that you can get in if it’s not able to function. My wife’s Lexus CT 200 is the same way

Ugh the CT200 is AWFUL, the ride quality just defies Lexus' reputation. Got one as a loaner a few years back while getting the car serviced at the Lexus dealer and the thing just felt like a rebadged Prius.

yours seemed a lot tighter than the one i test drove, i didn't hear any squeaks, creaks or rattles/buzzes in your test drive, like i did in mine, on similarly busted up roads. road noise was about the same, though. :|

Important things to remember: 1. An 8 or 9 speed Automatic is a bit much, as it could affect things... A 6 speed is just fine 2. I'm sure there's a button to adjust the seat comfort 3. When you say "Rearward Visibility Below Average," What do you mean? 4. Personally, I love the Impala's gauges... Other than that, Excellent car!

  • @BruceTheSillyGoose

rear window has steep rake, rear pillars are thick, resulting in poor rearward visibility from the driver's seat. back-up camera is essential in this auto, the older LS models lacked a back-up camera.

@John Wick handling is sound but with those big wagon wheels and rubberband tires on the premier model, any bump in the road is most efficiently transmitted into the driver's seat, where i live the roads are horrible, my old honda soaked up the bumps better than a rental '17 LT did.

Nice car. I wish it wasn't so identical looking to the Malibu, which also looks nice (in a non-Malibu way). If this car's exterior morphed into a more old-school styled full size sedan like the charger/challenger, I'd be impressed.

This guy's personality is about as inspiring as a motivational speaker who has a bus pass. I hope he drove home very slow. I got a feeling his wife wasn't in a hurry to see him. The flowers in the house probably start drooping when this guy walks in. The kind of guy who says after climaxing during sex "anywho'. Geesh!

Wow sir, please keep both hands on the steering wheel, and don't hold the inside of the wheel by the bottom. I'm a commercial driver and have trained a lot of drivers, and nobody understands the full importance of how you hold the wheel until you get in an emergency.

Samuel Arnold thanks for the remedial car class I’m sure he’s a big enough boy to decide how he drives and hopefully he’ll make a boom boom on the toiliet all by himself, but hey at least you got to toot your own horn with your training and got to thump your chest to prove your masculinity a bit I’m a former cop and am also trained in the proper way to drive and I’m sure he can handle the steering wheel all by himself but thanks for your vast and endless knowledge!!
