How are the maintenance costs?

I have a pre-facelift model from 2019, with 270HP (decat, wagner intercooler, new intake and new engine map), still going strong without any kind of issues. The DCT version is faster than the manual and faster than a stock manual i30n. Altough this has the same base engine as the i20n, regarding valve control, the Proceed is a CVVT and the I20N is a CVVD (Smart Stream).

Absolutely love this car, video was great thanks for the insight! Since you work at a Kia dealership, do you think you have the chance to test the XCeed with the 1.5 T-GDI? I feel like that's probably the best combo of city and family car Kia has on sale at the moment together with the Sportage (which is bigger though, so a little less agile in town). Here in Italy this engine is only available with a mild hybrid system, don't know if it's the same in Czech Republic, but the differences are minimal. The biggest is probably the intelligent manual trasmission with clutch by wire system. I don't know if you have a manual in your dealership, but it would be interesting with the DCT as well (this of course in case you have the XCeed available for testing). Though I've seen in the Czech configurator that only the diesel comes with the mild hybrid system, at least for the moment. My family is actually really considering it since we're about to get a new car, with other choices being the CX-30 and the Scala (of course I've seen your review of it). In case you manage to get ahold of it, I'd be interested to hear your opinion on it, if you want to make a video even better! Thank you and keep up the nice work :)

First, thank you very much for all the kind words! Regarding the XCeed I should be able to have the 1.5 T-GDI for testing soon. Our 1.5 T-GDI is not MHEV, only the 1.6 CRDi is and we do not have that as a demo car. Scala is a very good car with the 1.5 TSI engine, but definitely pair that with DSG, the manual is not desirable in that combination, acts weird, feels slow and heavy in the end. Hopefully I will be able to fulfill your expectations!

That's a nice car ! Bro , I own a 2023 Kia Forte GT2 😎🔥 with the DCT transmission , 201 HP 195 lbs of torque GDI engine , sport tuned dual exhaust system ,sport tuned suspension with a multi-link rear suspension , sport seats and sport steering wheel and it's freaking nice 👍 I love this car I did some upgrades and it feels a lot better more mean 😜 in a good way faster and more control when you hiting those curves 🎉🎉🎉 We don't have that model here in the USA " proceed " only the Forte model not even the hatchback model 😢😢 Thanks for the video it was great

Hi, thanks for a really good review. You should have more views :) Can I ask what is your opinion from point of luggage space comparing Proceed vs Ceed SW. Will there be enough space in the Proceed for the family (e.g. 1-2 kids)?

Thank you for the info. I took a testing ride today and I'm starting to be convinced to order it (last pieces on the factory line) but I was hesitating about the luggage space :)

Congrats for the POV review, i really liked it. If the Proceed GT will be discontinued in 2024 , do you know somehow which car will be the successor, with what engine? I really appreciate your fairness by comparing with other cars :) , and yes nobody does the exhaust note in this way from stock at this prices :). Can you also have an opinion about the road noise especially at highway speeds between the Proceed GT and the RS Octavia per example? Have a nice day from Timisoara, Romania 🍻

Thank you very much Dani for the kind words! Regarding the Proceed GT successor, there is 0 information other than Proceed GT will end production in 2024. These two cars are so different but the road noise is very similar. Octavia RS suffers from plastics scraping against each other at 150 km/h+ while Proceed GT suffers from weird wind noise coming from the back of the car at 160 km/h+. While doing 130 km/h I'd say the Octavia has the upperhand - but then again it is a 15k € more expensive car :)

In 3 weeks I'll be driving this instead of 2022 Ceed SW 1.0 Prestige. Can't wait! The only thing I don't like is digital speedometer. But that's a minor issue 😅

I've always wondered what does the button on the far right do with a windscreen icon? It is on the row with the heated seats and steering wheel.

That is the heated front window! If it's frozen, you press the button and a foil on the window heats up and defreezes it!

The digital screen is an option in the 2023 version? Its is part of the luxury package or only on the 1.6 version? Can you elaborate this more please ?

Hello! 1.6 T-GDI engine is always paired with the digital display. 1.5 T-GDI engine is always paired with 4,2'' Supervision :)

I mean, it would be helpful to have a live feed of the speed on the screen

I'm reading some comments that the 1.5 t-gdi 7 speed dct model has some problem with weak engine at starting, engine turning off. What do You think is it better to get the 1.6 engine? And are there other any known problem with the 1.5 or 1.6 t-gdi engines?

hey! regarding the 1.5 T-GDI it is pretty much a flawless engine - I haven't had a single problem or heard about any problems with it. I would consider the manual gearbox instead of the DCT if possible, the DCT seems to be causing issues with cold accelerations and slow manoeuvring. if possible, go with the 1.6 T-GDI as it is definitely much more fun, the consumption on the highway is pretty much the same (5,5-6l/100km). Both engines are reliable, 1.5 T-GDI is in Hyundai and Kia and 1.6 T-GDI is in Proceed GT, XCeed GT Line, Ceed HB GT and Hyundai i20N.

@@AllCarsAndBikes yes I read that slow manoeuvring was one of the problems because the engine is weaker. Is this also be the problem for a 1.6 DCT engine?

@@kristijanpilato7613 Nope, this only happens with DCT and the 1.5. With manual there is no issue with that and the 1.6 is without issues :)

Angličtina výborná. Je vidno, že niekto strávil čas v UK. 👌 Na druhú stranu za mňa nie najlepšia reklama pre autobond, ak jeho zamestnanec prekračuje rýchlosť prakticky počas celého testu - najmäma valiť cez obec 80kmh je za mňa na palec dole. 👎

Ha! Děkuji za pochvalu angličtiny, ale! V UK jsem byl 4 dny a jen na výlet! Co se týče videa, vlastně vůbec nevím, o čem je řeč. Mně ho přinesla kočka na SD kartě, ta kočka na mě něco mlela japonsky, tak jsem to dal do notebooku, upravil to, aby tomu bylo rozumět, zrychlil to, aby to vypadalo, že to jede a pak to hodil sem na KZread! A každý jiný auto je digitálně přidaný a ještě ke všemu Autobond je pouze jistá podobnost s reálnou značkou, i když se to může zdát jako velká náhoda, je to fakt jen náhoda! Fakt! Ale i tak děkuji za zhlédnutí a věřím, že někdy v budoucnu Vám udělám větší radost ♥️

@@majklknight7455 je to super auto, je to fakt tak svižný, krásně se to vede. Pokud máš možnost, přijď do Autobondu do Prahy se s tím svézt, máme ho tam. Downsizing je na 99 % kvůli Hyundai, i když Kia prezentuje jako důvod emise. Nevěřím tomu. N od Hyundai mají 2.0 T-GDI a 1.6 T-GDI, manuál a automat ale Kia nemůže v Proceedu nechat 1.6 T-GDI (tu identickou z i20N) protože ‘nesplňuje emise. My už máme jen 4 skladem + 1 předváděčku (tu na videu).
