“POUR GAMES” Tyrants requires slaves. Animation by Patrick Smith.
Фильм және анимация
Tyrannical wine glasses participate in a sadistic game. The game is interrupted by a self-sacrificial rebellion. After the oppressors are vanquished, a new game is quickly reconstituted among the former victims.
Another installment in the “POUR” Series, set in a metaphorical world of living wine glasses. This story explores a twisted game of power dynamics, where two masters dominate smaller subjects of the same species. The only way to end the game is to force the masters to lose interest. A stubborn individual glass, number 95, accomplishes this by initiating a self-sacrificial protest, shattering his own head with his fist. This becomes a contagion as the others see the results. They all smash their own heads gleefully and the game becomes impossible to play. Realizing this, the masters move on, no longer interested in playing the diabolical drinking game.

This animation really does seem analogous to wars in general. Whether it be a political conflict, a territorial conflict, or a corporate conflict, people who consider themselves in charge will just throw people they deem "lesser" at each other regardless of the damage, so long as it gives the "higher-ups" a chance to feel superior against one another.

The higher-ups instill the spirit to the pawns, even if they don’t want to. Conditioning them for a conflict that they themselves didn’t cause in the first place. This is the definition of a bittersweet ending. They won but at what cost? They won but did they really change anything? It’s a lot like the ending of Animal Farm where nothing really changed when you get down to it, hence why the other glass grabbed a sheet of paper. It’s symbolic of how they’re gonna keep shattering until they ultimately destroy themselves. But nonetheless, this was very well done and I loved seeing those big wine glasses finally being defeated without too much backlash. It put a smile on my face as normally they win and bully the others in ways I personally found disturbing. I also loved that smiling of shattering themselves. It was so selfless and honestly heartwarming when the first mug shattered himself so the other wouldn’t be, and returned the favor henceforth smiling all the way. They “shattered” the tyranny and it was truly something. The sad part is that they’ll probably repeat the cycle because there’s always somebody out there who will replace the tyrannical that was overthrown. Like science, if there is an empty space, then everything is drawn to that empty space to fill it. All done via air pressure. The same way a tyrant starts: pressure.

I like that in pour series there is an idea of a specie of cycle, that ends and begin again, and another detail is how you leave the free interpretation, leaving people thought what is the meaning of this, it’s a metaphor for tyranny or something else, because there is this atmosphere of dystopia. And that’s it. Very well done.

Where?
Either way they were going to be broken so by doing it themselves they took the the fun out of it so the big ones left them alone
I love this animation and the face are amazing
i have 2 theory stories 1 the story could be continuing where at first there were scuffles for red liquid until it was all gone then one red liquid modified glass or RLMG had the idea of making a line for getting red liquid because of the fact that glasses with any liquid in them could duplicate the water, and it's shown in pour 585, pour 939 and this video, so then there was the RLMG known as 585 and his story is pretty simple, he's scared, he's forced to absorb red liquid, he gets mad yada yada yada I'm guessing he was captured and smashed and that was that. Then there was pour 668, with another scared boi but that's not what I'm here to talk about in pour 668, so a mini theory is that i have is pour 668 takes place BEFORE 585 now you might call me crazy but i have some things that might change that 1. maybe this was actually when there were red liquid scuffles where a cool dude gave his hoard of red liquid to his lackeys via machine and maybe 668 actually snuck in to see what it was, then when he pressed the buttons the liquid did something Sussy to him kinda like drugs (ew) where he wanted MORE and I think the reason he was smashed wasn't because he mixed the liquids, I think why is because the security dudes realized he wasn't a member of the cool Boi's group and acted accordingly and another reason it took place before was because they used machinery, because they had to use manual ways in all the other videos. so hopefully that information changed your mind about that. Pour 939 probably is a group of cheerful happy dudes responding to all the hate by making a RLMG army. my guess is this one is about torturing the POW's kinda like Vietnam but replace it w glasses. and my 2nd theory is maybe it all is a cycle with the cycle changing slightly every time to where maybe it is completely different like with the alteration where there is machinery or the mindset of a glass from unfulfilled in life to really happy or a completely new game but always leaving the last alteration behind so that's why there is no machinery in pour 939 or anything. so those are my 2 theorys about this series. Have a good day!

In the third hit shows weird sentences saying "PAPUTA PUPUTA PAPUTA PUPUTA" and a message that can be read. "POWER ONLY EXISTS WHEN THERE IS *SOMETHING TO RULE OVER* The highlighted ones are the ones i found during cup 101 broke itself. I had to find it because in the first time i saw it red wine was blocking the sentence. Then in cup 102's plan to live, once he is broken you need to slow it down to 25x or 5x slower. The message says "PAIN". Also the message comes on cup 100's broken cup. Next there is no message showing up on cup 83 or 93. Onward to the rest of the film shows no more messages.
