P4P is a term used to indicate a hypothetical scenario in which all fighters have the exact same height/weight/reach, there for taking the size considerations out of the equation when determining who the actual best FIGHTER is.

Ya Boi Jose aldo has gotten beaten by max Holloway twice and isn’t even the champion anymore, yet you didn’t put max on your shitty casual list, and Nate Diaz is ranked number 8 in the light weight division. Just a terrible terrible list.

Jon Jones is pound for pound best, and here's why. he is 24-0, undefeated as a pro and as a ufc fighter. he has defeated 5 former champions, and one of those guys twice (Cormier). he has a very high finishing rate, and often beats world class fighters at their own strengths. despite long layoffs, he still finishes top fighters and contenders, and he was the youngest person to ever win a championship in the ufc. case closed. DJ is not even a close 2nd.

Conor lost against gatekeeper Nate Diaz, sorry. Even if that was a fluke win he's still not fought enough competition to make that claim. Eddie Alvarez was also arguably the weakest Lightweight champion we've seen in a decade, if I could compare it to someone it would be Bisping. Don't think he makes top 5, no way in hell he makes top 3

Boxing: Usyl Lomachenko UFC/MMA: DJ, however if Conor is serious in coming back and getting back the lightweight title, he could potentially become the #1 p4p fighter in the world depending how well he can return and assert his dominance in the octagon.

Its important to remember that good lightweight style jose aldo isnt nessisely good for heavyweight its just at 135 you need knees and headkicks to ko whereas a heavyweight just needs a right cross it changes stradegy and makes alot of p4p bs

Fedor is the best. He fought a lot of guys that were bigger and still won convinsingly. Silva was awesome, but I dunno if h ever fought anybody bigger. Plus he took roids. I think if you take roids you automatically go down at least a notch

I have Fedor high on my GOAT list. At times he gets criticized for never fighting in the UFC... Pride FC was the UFC back in it's day so you can't knock him. Anderson Silva is by far the greatest ever to step foot in the UFC. Countless title defences, went up to light heavy and embarrassed former champ, Forrest Griffin.

Why didn't Anderson fight Rashad Evans or Jon Jones, forest was a fly by night champion everyone knows he wasn't nothing great. Stephen Bonnar was like even with him. Anderson is a juicer too and caught twice now.

Conor needs to prove himself against Khabib (even though I think hes overrated) or Tony Ferguson.

I've never liked the term pound-for-pound because it cheapens the accomplishment of one person to try to compare them with a superior athlete.. it's a sad reality that somebody like Demetrius Johnson will never be the goat a term which is reserved for heavyweight the "elite of the elite".

No, he's not overrated. He's popular, and has a strong fanbase, and beaten some very good components. Yes, he still has a lot of business in the LW division but nobody else has a better resume in the lightweight division (sharktank) than Khabib right now except Ferguson.

If increasing weight is a sufficient way to get stronger as a fighter, then the current system have a big issue because fighters choose to decrease their weight to play against weaker opponents that's why i would prefer to change weight classes to height classes, that way we will see everyone trying to achieve the perfect fighter body for their height, and the overall fighters strength would increase
