Nice to get him to do it on the pad. Only thing I know is that Zero can hold it in for very long time but he’s 7. He learned it from my parents dogs and was housebroken within a couple of days. Maltese are so smart

We trained our little guy to go pee in the grass in backyard as soon as we got him at 12 weeks, but we keep a potty pad in the house because sometimes the weather is bad. He barks when he needs to go outside in the morning. TFS

You reward them WHEN they pee on the pad or outside, NOT when they've done somewhere else and you have to take them to the spot. You say Pee, or Poo when they ho, then reward. You take them out every 2 hours whether they ask, then say Pee or Poo.
