Excellent tutorial. Extremely thorough. Thank you!!!!!! This is a godsend for all of us DIYers who have pieces at home that really aren't valuable enough to have professionally restored or for those who don't have the funds to have it done.

I have been looking for a tutorial like this and finally found you. I have a porcelain sink to repair, and a number of broken pieces of china that are sentimental. I have attempted to repair them myself and am on the right track, using epoxy to fill. This provided me with the knowledge of the tools and products to use to finish the job, that will mean success! Thanks so much for a clear and simple explanation.

Thank you for this! The PC Clear shows an operational temperature range of 20 - 200 degrees F. You have not found this to be an issue when you fire the pieces in the kiln? Or it is just for a few moments?

Restored objects do not get fired in the kiln.

For a filler, most times we use epoxy filler mainly PC-11 - for how to use it, see link and view lesson #1 -- lakesidepottery.com/Pages/Repairing-restoring-ceramic-porcelain-china-pottery-lessons-tutorials.html
