I would paint the whole thing white, leave the top without the little piece of wood, and maybe put a green plant on top, with the candle on the bottom. You are very creative. I am enjoying your videos.

I love the lanterns just the way you have them; posts painted tops and bottoms left plain wood.

If I make one of the block things, I’ll put a bead in between the blocks. Ot maybe some of the small blocks from DT. ;)

Lov'd everything you made. A few years ago when the apothecary jars were popular i used the large pickle jars & did the mercury finish with the chrome spray paint & water finish on them & painted & embellished the lid with chrystal drawer pulls. Looked cool with fairy lights inside.

I know this was awhile ago and you may already have figured this out, but when using the miter saw as a chop saw, it will splinter less if you make the cut and let the blade come to a full stop before you pull the blade arm back up. Love your crafts!

I do like the natural wood color of the square beads. However, I would probably seal them with polyurethane or a clear spray sealer.

I like the natural wood but you could clear coat or wax it to seal it. (For grimy kids hands)

On your strand of blocks, some crafters are tying a simple knot as a spacer.

Idea here… I’d actually screw in a hook to the bottom of the top shelf, and use a macrame jar holder to hang so it evens out the space of what you’d like inside the holder itself.. #2 hooks on all four sides, inbetween each post, so that you could hang plants Or candles in each of the open sides…
