POTTERY 101: Sticking your pot to the pottery wheel WITH NO LUGS!

Learn how to attach your pot to the pottery wheel without the need for little clay balls or lugs. I have been using this technique for years and it's my favourite trick. So many people ask me about it when I put trimming content on Insta, so here you are baby!

Do you know if trimming tools can be sharpened? Mine are starting to dull and surely, you just don’t throw them away when they’re dull? Seems like such a waste. 😢

I'm sure they can, but I've never sharpened mine! Weirdly I prefer a slightly duller trimming tool, it seems to work better for me. I use my tools until the metal wears down and snaps.

Had the plates been drying before this trim? You would think detaching them from the wheel at the end would deform the sides otherwise
