⛺ Potter's Creek Park Campground Review, Canyon Lake, TX // USACE

#potterscreek #canyonlaketx #usacepark
In February, Texas had an ice storm that we got caught in, but we made it to the USACE Potter's Creek Park Campground in Canyon Lake, TX a day late. There were very few campers there due to the ice storm and the rolling outages. However, we were still able to drone the campground and get some nice footage to provide a review. It snowed while we were there and then melted. Enjoy the ride. WoW Report card at the end.

What a great looking campground. Loops 4 and 5 look wonderful, plenty of room, open spaces. When you where going around looking at sites, I didn't think they would be long enough, but they are. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe. How is Dave feeling, hope his foot is doing okay. Nurse Karen is taking great of both of you. Thanks again. 🤓🤓👍👍

Hi ya'll. Dave foot is getting better. As long as he keeps wearing the boot, he can get around fine, but it's tired at the end of the day. This and most USACE parks offer long sites. I wish more of them had sewer hook ups.

Yep...nice park. Dave's got that backing up thing pretty good. There's good and bad news with Army Corp campgrounds...good they are almost always on water. Bad, they are almost always a blind back-in. But that way your door is facing the water. :)

Great review. That was a terrible week to be in Texas. Our house is only about 20 minutes from there. We didn't have power for 4 days and no water for 7. Got down to 26 in the house. Can't imagine what it was like in a trailer. That loop with the sewer problems has been closed for like 6-7 years at least. I don't think it is ever getting fixed.

Actually, think we were in better shape than you since we were able to have heat and water with a generator and our tanks. You guys must have been miserable. Interesting about the sewer problems at the campground. They actually let us use the bath house in that section. 😏Beautiful area there...they need to fix that.

I know, there water was so pretty. Army Corp campsites are open to the public. You have to reserve your campsite in advance at recreation.gov. You get half off at age 62 with the America the Beautiful card which you can purchase at many of their campgrounds.
