Posture: The Ultimate Lifehack | Blake Bowman | TEDxWayneStateU

"Sit up straight!"
This is something probably every kid has heard from their mother at some point. But as Blake Bowman explains in this interactive Talk, there is science behind this!
Blake Bowman is a Corrective Exercise Specialist and Personal Trainer. After graduating from Wayne State University in 2013, he now owns and operates a personal training studio called GuerrillaZen Fitness and an online coaching business through his KZread channel.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

Fun trick I learned to keep my shoulders and posture healthy is to make sure that your hands fall parallel to your thighs and your thumb is at the front when standing or walking. The backs of your hands shouldn't ever be visible to someone in front of you. Easy to remember and helped me a LOT!

Basically bad posture is wrecks your spine, which in turn screws up your physical movement and hormones. Sadly 90% of the population are developing kyphotic postures form our sedentary lifestyles. Were forces to sit in desks at school from age 6-18, then we come home and sit some more on the couch. I swear kyphosis is an epidemic!

Good information but the pacing back and forth restlessly made me tired, or my brain, as I had to constantly refocus my frame of the speaker. Otherwise excellent.

Great info delivered by a moral authority (i.e., someone with real knowledge from personal experience). Now that you have the content of your presentation down, work on the delivery. Don't move around so much and p.l.e.a.s.e. cut out the "K? period." That is, you end most of your sentences with, "K?" It's rather distracting.

Unfortunately, this talk is riddled with misinformation. If this guy did his research, he'd know that there is no such thing as bad posture.
